Default I just got a fantastic call!

I just got off the phone with a ticket representative from the Stockton Ports. He said they’re guaranteeing a minor league season with fans!! Bought a package so my daughter and I can get back out to the park!! Now just waiting for a call from the Modesto Nuts and I’ll have tears of pure joy. Wanted to share to give everyone hope

That's good to hear but I don't know how anyone can "guarantee" anything these days.

That’s good news. I’m excited to go see some FSL games this year.

Yeah, I hope it happens too but a “guarantee” is just a sales guy trying to hit his numbers.

Thats awesome!!! Im Bummed Kane County is no longer an affiliate, was looking forward to a handful of games this year. Maybe they get the MLB draft league going.

Kane County is in the American Association now. As a guy who lives 5 minutes from the Milwaukee Milkmen's park, welcome to the league!!

BTW, although the AmAssoc is not affiliated, they now have an official partnership with MLB. I have no idea what that means exactly, but there was a press release on it. I think it has to do with resources for scouts, etc.

Oh wow, I hadn't heard but thanks for the heads up. I was also sad to hear Kane County being dropped as an affiliate. I'm sure they have much better attendance than some teams who didn't get scrapped. Regardless, glad to hear they found a new home. I always try to make it to at least one game/season when they have a good bobblehead SGA.

It is. As someone who worked in sales, in sports, during a pandemic, that's all it is.

I havent heard anything from Lansing as far as any games being a go or not. I'm hopeful, but I'm also sure that it will vary greatly from state to state. Love my view from the cheap seats and the minor league games!

They'll also be guaranteeing your favorite player his 2 Home Runs during your first game of 2021 attendance.

Nice, just saw an article 4 hours ago posted lol. Hopefully its a fun league and some interesting players for them. And mostly, hopefully not $10 to park lol. I used to go to like 15-20 games a year, Free PAring, $6 lawn seats. Would win 2 tickets most games I went to for $4. Then Parking became $5, and $10. For $10 Parking, $12 ticket and the hour drive. Wasnt as fun.

Awesome. I remember when the Ports were the A affiliate of the Brewers (I'm from the Brewers' former AA home).

Yes, grew up playing sports with him, graduated high school with him, etc, etc.

He had a full scholarship to play QB at Clemson before the Tigers took him in the first round. We would pick him up for school and there would be college coaches in his kitchen and at basketball practice there would be college football coaches in the stands watching.

That is a nice stadium too, I even thought about buying one of those apartments but I wouldn't have used it enough.

If you think a minor league ticket rep can guarantee you that they're having a season with fans in the stadium, I have some very nice oceanfront property in Idaho for sale.

There's obviously the possibility of it, but the teams will have virtually no say in it. Especially at this point where no one knows if there will even be a Minor League season.

I'm as hopeful as anyone, but the the call that you got today was strictly commission-driven. Having worked in a minor league ticket office, they have no clue when the season will start, how many games they'll have, what MLB/MiLB mandates will be, what state/local regulations will entail, or anything else along those lines.

Even less so outside of AAA - they at least have a tentative report date for Spring Training.

I'm hoping to go to some Lynchburg Hillcats games this year. I hated not having games last year but I won't wear a mask so hopefully, being outdoors, they won't require them.
