Great player. I'm kinda sad how his last few seasons ended for him though, some brutal losses.

Amazing player and an all time great. I still remember being a bit pissed that the 49ers were not able to draft him back in 2001. The Chargers getting Ladainian and Brees with the first two picks in the draft has to go down as one of the best draft duo picks in the history of the draft

The fact that this guy overcame physical limitations to even get his name brought up among the list of great QBs is a testament to his traits like hard work, leadership, etc.

Been a big fan ever since I watched him at Purdue. He chased down a guy for like 40 yards after throwing an int. Knocked him out of bounds inside the 10. Came back and threw a TD to go ahead. You could just tell he had "it".

Going to miss him as a Saints fan and season ticket holder. We have been absolutely spoiled at QB since ‘06. Also excited to see where we go next. Winston, Hill, FA signing, trade....

Part of me thinks the guy meant....... hey let's not forget Brees's first 3 years were not memorable; yet he still had a phenomenal career and is an all time great QB........... so maybe we shouldn't have such a short leash on guys drafted today that aren't fantastic from day 1

The other part of me thinks...... a good portion of posters aren't coherent and would not be able to come up with such a thought

I guess it will always be a mystery
