Default Pokemon 1st edition packs

I wanted to buy a couple of these and send them in to get them graded. I see some listed as just Pokemon Team Rocket 1st edition and others Pokemon Team Rocket 1st edition 20.6g not sure but why reference the weight. My first thought is these were weighed and the seller opened up the heavier ones for a chance at a foil or the 20.6g means there is a foil which concerns me also as the pack may have been resealed, thougtht recommnedtions apprecaited thank you

It's what you stated, certain packs weigh certain g's pertaining to whether they have foils or not. I'm not up on the diff weights of each set/pack and weight though, reference the facebook groups as they're constantly discussing this subject. Good luck. PSA does have new slabs for packs though, Saw them with magic packs, and they're really nice as they don't fold the pack anymore!!

The thing about the Team Rocket packs is the weights don't always mean they are heavy or light packs with holos. I have seen many opened that were on the lighter side with a holo and some as heavy packs with no holos.

My buddy opened up a whole booster box last weekend and weighed each pack before opening and actually pulled the Charizard out of the light pack and some non holos in the "heavy" packs. You have better odds of pulling a holo in a pack closer to 21g, but it's not an exact science with Rocket packs.

Default In other words....

It's not "Rocket" science.

I mean if you're sending them in to be slabbed then the weight doesn't really matter. I'd probably go for a light pack actually and save some money. Just gotta get lots of pictures and make sure it wasn't resealed.
