Mighty Ducks: Game Changers TV Series

I might get killed for this lol. I know there are much better hockey movies out there, but I grew up watching the trilogy. My entire childhood was playing hockey in the streets with a Mighty Ducks jersey on. Has anyone watched the first episode yet? It got released today on Disney +

Just watched 1&2 yesterday in anticipation. They're good movies.

The level of hockey you see from a group of ~10 year old kids is probably right where it should be.

Looking forward to catching the series start today. Why I'm a Ducks fan and guys like Kariya, Selanne and Jean Sebastian Giguere are so awesome!

It's kinda weird after kinda reading up on a bit..the Mighty Ducks team seem to be the "villain" in the series? Like the Hawks, Iceland, and Varsity Warriors team were in the movies?

As a kid who grew up watching Kariya dominate at UMaine and sneaking out of bed to watch his games out west via satellite after my parents would go to bed, I got so excited for his small cameo in D3.

My 11yr old liked it. But, you know they didn’t do their homework when they called the Ducks a “Junior” team. Junior hockey and youth hockey are not interchangeable words.

I thought some of it was really funny, like the parent with a pediatric sports psychologist for their kid. As a hockey parent myself, I know those parents! And they’re actually worse than depicted so far!

Watched the first episode with my wife and two nephews this weekend (7 & 8). All in all thought it was good and will certainly continue the season as new episodes are released. My nephews both play hockey and love the movies, so they thought it was great.

Just finished the first episode! I won't spoil it for others that haven't seen it. I enjoyed it and I'm hoping for guest appearances from the original Ducks team.

I actually watched the 1st also. Mighty Ducks movies are great nostalgia as a hockey fan as a kid. Will catch the rest of course.

I chuckled at that too, like come on now. The lead feels very young Charlie Conway too, even down to the single mom.

I’m liking what I’m seeing so far even though things are going a little slow for me. Maybe it’s the desire for more. But really wish this was released on a quicker schedule

Glad I’m not the only one that thought it is slow. Finding my self becoming slowly uninterested in it.

Possible spoiler with no real details:

Didn’t help that I didn’t like the game action from the latest episode. Felt cringeworthy or I should probably say more cringeworthy than the original films. I’ll leave it at that.

I'm still watching. I've finished the first 4 episodes and I will finish all 10 once they are released.

I've enjoyed the show so far and It'll be interesting to see how they develop it in the next 6 episodes.

I just picked the show up. Pretty good show and they are sprinkling in just enough of the old to get me to pop every episode. I do wish they kept the Hawks color scheme the same like they did with the Cardinals.
