Thanks! When I bought it 25 years ago, I didn't think it would be selling for $1500 one day.

Nice Dempster. I've been waiting for a 10 to pop up.

Very nice site!

I've been a Cub fan my whole life. As a kid, I especially liked Dave Kingman and Bruce Sutter in the late '70's/early '80's. I was pleasantly surprised to see Jody Davis make your list. I always felt like he was a valuable part the team in the '80's; he is another favorite of mine.

Yeah those don't pop up very often. There must be a bunch of Dempsters stuck in the PSA backlog.

Jody Davis is WAY underrated. I don't think people realize what a valuable player he was. I do give a boost to catchers, because I like catchers but also because they usually get a lot less playing time than other positions.

Hundley was my favorite as a kid - always grabbed his jersey number in little league.

Sandberg is now my favorite all time - named my son after him.

Love the 87' Leaf Maddux, such a beautiful card.

Great collection and thank you for sharing!

Wow, this is awesome! Nice website and fantastic collection. I’m doing something along a similar vein but not as big and with cards that aren’t as nice! Great work!

I love the Bill Hands/Randy Hundley RC. Most of those two panel rookie cards are one star and one guy you never hear about again. This one is two good players that actually played together for years. I wonder if there are other rookie cards that feature batterymates?

87 Donruss/Leaf Maddux is a great, weird card. 87 Donruss was just a strange looking set, and then the Maddux photo barely looks like him. I'm glad he ditched that little 'stache.

On the long list of cards I couldn't afford in today's market!

Updated all-time Cubs rankings after the 1st month. Rizzo up to 19th, passing Maddux and Cavarretta. Bryant passing Dahlen up to 35th. Hendricks falls a spot down to 50. Baez and Arrieta climb. Fun stuff.

Sweet site!

Would have been nice if Tinkers, Evers, and Chance all lined up one after another. But alas...

Love it. Even as a Brewers fan.

Cool collection and nice way to share it. I saw the thread title and assumed it was going to be a joke thread with a punchline about this year's Cubs.

I know! It's close. But Evers was just a step below the other two. Such that, I think Chance and Tinker deserve their spots in the Hall but I'm not sure Evers does. But they were never going to put just two of them in.

Haha plenty of room for that also. Punchlines abound for this year's team.

Who is the greatest Cub? Ernie Banks or Cap Anson?

Anson has the better numbers but Banks was a much better human. I'm definitely a Banks guy.
