Default 2021 Topps Definitive 1 Case Rip

Hi all. My brother surprised me with a case of this new product from BO and we opened it today. Here are the results in the order we opened them:

Box 1:
Definitive Collection Auto: Joey Bart (of 50)
Definitive Rookie Auto: Ke'Bryan Hayes (of 50)
Framed Patch Auto Purple: C.C. Sabathia (of 10)
Dual Auto Collection: Eloy Jimenez/Luis Robert Redemption
Relic Auto: Nolan Arenado (of 30)
Definitive Relic Auto: Nolan Ryan (of 30)
Jumbo Relic Patch Blue: Trea Turner (of 30)
Definitive Helmet Relic: Francisco Lindor (of 30)

Box 2:
Legendary Collection Auto: Cal Ripken Jr. (of 25)
Definitive Rookie Auto: Bobby Dalbec (of 50)
Definitive Rookie Auto Green: Brady Singer (of 25)
Defining Season Auto Green: Mark McGwire (of 10)
Relic Auto Purple: Walker Buehler (of 10)
Definitive Relic Auto Purple: Barry Larkin (of 5)
Jumbo Relic: Freddie Freeman (of 50)
Jumbo Relic Patch Green: Christian Yelich (of 15)

Box 3:
Definitive Collection Auto: Rafael Devers (of 50)
Definitive Rookie Auto: Dylan Carlson (of 50)
Definitive Ultra Patch Auto: Matt Chapman (of 15)
Defining Season Auto Green: Joe Mauer (of 10)
Relic Auto Green: Ronald Acuna Jr. (of 25)
Definitive Relic Auto: Vladimir Guerrero (of 50)
Jumbo Relic: Dustin Pedroia (of 50)
Jumbo Relic Patch Blue: Hunter Dozier (of 30)

Here are a few scans:

We opened Definitive in previous years, and my personal feeling is that this year's is a bit of a tougher rip - more lesser prospects. I also prefer the white matte look so this year's design is a bit colorful for my liking. That being said, I still think Definitive is the best baseball product each year and a very fun rip.

I think we did OK. No Trout, Griffey Jr. or any 1/1's, but we did get a handful of HOF and stars that we like. We will keep 9 cards (Acuna, Arenado, Buehler, Chapman, Guerrero, Mauer, McGwire, Ripken, Ryan) and the rest will likely be up for sale very soon.

I'm interested to hear any thoughts or opinions you may have about our break or this product in general. Cheers.

I love the product but the cost makes it almost impossible to make your money back if that’s your thing. At $750/box 2 years ago it made a lot of sense, but at aT $2000 a box, it’s really really arduous. I really like the Ripken!

That’s a puzzling case. I’m assuming it was factory sealed? From most of the case breaks, there’s always a great box with a 1/1.

These have been feast of famine. The two I opened had 5 total 1/1’s, and they werent the case hits (Griffey Jr in one and trout patch auto the other ). Others I have seen have been horrid. OP’s was middle of the road probably. For hand packed product seems a little over powered or underwhelming and which one you get determines whether you love it or loathe it (darn near like everything else now).

I'm about to open a box purchased from Topps. This doesn't make me very excited. I'll have to report back when I finish.
