Default Missing Cards PSA

Pretty hot right now. Has anyone ever had a Receive Hold flag on one of their submissions and been told that a handful of your cards just arent in the order?

Had an order checked in a couple days ago and 13 cards in the order PSA claimed never arrived. The 13 are spread out in the 85ish card submission, so it's not like a section didnt make it. They're random...

I asked for the list and vividly remember submitting the ones in question.

I'd hate to accuse anything but I have no idea what happened.

You’re suppose to submit them in the same order as your packing slip... it will be a 5% up charge for the mistake.

Not sure if you're joking or not understanding. The "missing cards" were in the submission along with the ones they claimed to receive.

This resolution will be far from increased charges on my end.

Yes, I had this happen to me recently on a bulk sub that was received on 1/25 (176 cards total). They said 1 line, 3x 2018 Bowman Chrome Acuna’s were not in the submission, it was Line #5 and I know 100% they were in the submission because I was contemplating just sending in 2 (1 was close to 43/57 centering and I wasn’t sure if I should submit it, I did). I went back and forth with PSA, looked around the house just in case but they aren’t to be found, asked if the package had been damaged or tampered with and they said no, they basically told me it’s my fault and they have security in place so they couldn’t be stolen. It’s problematic for me that this happened but not the end of the world, my last communication PSA said they’d research the issue and get back to me, that was 3 weeks ago. I’ve never had this happen and I’ve seen other folks reporting cards missing from their submissions recently as well, I think a PSA employee is stealing.

Actually had it happen for the first time ever today. I'm 99.9% sure that card was in sub,

I could see one card missing, I've had subs missing a card or with an extra card a couple of times on the 2nd or 3rd time I've checked. But to have multiple cards missing from throughout the sub is really strange.

wonder if they are allowing influencers like pwcc into the packing/unpacking area to see what they can try to skip across the lake like rocks...

I mean they've had these packages for months if not a year or more and now getting to open them and stuff is missing...wonder how they are keeping these items stored. read some of the other recent horror stories and I'm sure with the low pay and uptick in hires, there has to be one or 2 bad seeds.

That's my thinking too. The way I package them, theres no way multiple cards are missing across the whole order unless theres a bad seed on the receiving end. This was packaged with a modern too and the modern passed with flying colors. And these arent base cards we are talking about....

Apologize for bumping this tonight, but I have a pretty important update. The Modern that was boxed with the Ultra Modern that had 15 cards missing is now all of a sudden missing 6 cards and on a Reserve Hold too.

If anyone reading this has a reserve hold or has PSA tell you that you forgot to put a card in your shipment, understand that this most likely isn't an isolated event.

These cards were removed from our submission on PSAs end. They weren't left out of these 2 orders. Time to pursue this down a legal avenue.

BE CAREFUL WITH THE CHECK IN PROCESS EVERYONE. Please monitor them closely.

guess im going to start taking pictures of any new orders with all companies to be safe. not that its a slam dunk but atleast you can tell them it was in there and they will take it more seriously looking for them.

Yeah- video record yourself packing the entire order. Get each card on a continuous video and pack it up. Put unique squiggles where the shipping label meets the box. I do this when selling high-end cards as well. Then video yourself dropping them off at the PO and make sure you show the label with unique marking. Not perfect but tough to dispute that.

Yikes. Maybe this is also an explanation of why PSA shut down 95% of their subs. There's a huge liability having millions of dollars in cards chilling in a warehouse for 6 months+.

Yeah, but I would think they would have video cameras on everything. If not, they should.

Yeah, I'm 100% asking for the video of them unpacking this sub. If they don't have that, then they're up a creek here.
Woke up even more mad today than yesterday. And I have to wait until Monday to call which I'm fuming about even more.

Protect yourselves everyone. These were straight up stolen.

I just had an order get slapped with "Receive Hold" after it was in the QA Check 2 stage for a few days. No idea why but I called and their "callback queue" is already full for today.

Call right when they open. Not sure what could have happened if you had already made it to QA2, but I think the Receive Hold just means to stop at whatever stage they're on and investigate an issue. Hopefully it's not what's going on with my order.

As an update on mine, they still haven't told me which of the 6 cards in the modern order were stolen, and they said they'd get back to us either Friday or Monday with an update. For something this serious you think they'd make it a priority....

This is a nightmare scenario. Hopefully PSA makes it right. They should have plenty of extra time now to figure out since they have practically zero intake for the next few months.

Yeah - can you imagine if they had a fire.... I have to think this was one of the primary factors in shutting down. They ran out of space and probably had an insurance issue with getting wave after wave of cards each day.

Yeah I hope they do too. The frustrating part is how long the investigation is currently taking.

I hope for all of you this is isolated to just this case, but with the length this is taking (and the fact I read about someone else having this issue on another subforum), I'm thinking mine wont be the only case...

Just an update on this. Now a full 2 weeks after they contacted me saying my submission form was incorrect (due to either insanity on their end or more likely employee theft), they still haven't released to me what 6 cards are missing from my modern order (this in addition to the 13 cards missing from my ultra modern order, which I do know the list of)... simply stating it's still "under review".

They know the count is off, which means they know which cards aren't there... this is something they should be able to provide.

Still furious over this with no resolution to date.

What do you think the average declared value is for every card sitting at PSA? Lets say on average it is $100. Lets assume 5 million cards due to rumors, it is probably much less than that. Could their be $500 million in cards in declared value alone? If there was a fire at PSA, 2019 Panini products would drastically increase in value at least...

Newest update. They've now provided us with the Modern list and are sticking to their story that there's no evidence of tampering and they cannot find my cards.

These were straight up stolen and I'll be contacting the local authorities for investigation pending any alternative resolution provided by Monday.

Terrible.

Wow. Doesn't someone high up at PSA post/lurk around these boards? I'd post your situation in a higher profile forum (basketball?) and see what happens.
