Default Ouch, PSA 6 for a Pack Fresh Montana RC

I wasn't expecting it. I thought the card looked much better than a 6. It came from a cello, where you can see the Montana. Lessons learned.Name: 20210405_161758.jpg

Centering looks like a 10 per PSA standards. Shocked

Can't imagine less than an 8. Wow.

Being the top card of a cello, a couple thoughts:

- Maybe a surface dent or two due to it being on the top of the pack?
- Maybe the corners are curved back a bit if it was tightly packed? Or pushed in?

Is that white snowing to the left of Montana on the slab? It's not part of the image, so could be surface damage?

I really thought the surface was good. The back was the one exposed. Not sure about the curved corner. I didn't notice because it went straight to card saver. The white on the left is reflection of my phone.

Ever heard anyone say..."Damn, PSA really over graded my cards. Ugh!" We all think OUR cards should've received better grades.

I actually have had this issue. I used to overanalyze too much and sent in a small % of what I could have. The only way I figured this out was by making notes of each card and my expected grade compared to the actual grade.

Funny story... one time I got a psa 6 on a nice card, was pissed resent it back in & came back a psa 9 haha! Another time I sent in a Kyler Silver to BGS... it came back a 8.5 and I had no idea why... I sent it to PSA and it came back a 10... im fully convinced at this point graders dont even know how to grade lol theyre just trying to fill orders haha

I would do the resending too, but at this point I am not going to spend on a super Express. Maybe I'll use this card to sent to another company and compare grading standards.

Send it to that trendy company that uses gaudy colorful labels. I'd be curious to see how they complement a subtle vintage design like this. You've got nothing to lose at this point.

Resubmit. It will get a 9 next time.

A 6 usually means PSA saw a small surface wrinkle if the card otherwise looks like a 9. Check both sides carefully under a bright light.

Probably. It sucks that the difficult things like centering and corners look like a 10.

Just looks like glare. It's in the same spot on the front side pic.

Can you show the front top left corner at a better angle?
