I gotta say I have no interest in Blockchain/NFT. That's not a comment on what they may or may not be worth moving forward, but owning a digital picture is not exciting to me.

Can it be moved to a wallet? For example, can I move it to my wax wallet where I hold my Topps NFTs?

I think it may be time for a digital sub here. I don’t hate it, but it’s definitely a different collectible category altogether.

I remember when NFT meant "not for trade" or "no fungus toppings".

Agreed and many of us older collectors have no desire for digital cards.
I was the same with my video games too lol but now having physical is useless anyway since 75 percent of the damn thing needs downloaded to work now too lol
I am amazed that p ople actually pay real money for the blitz app cards. It's not common but I've seen some go for 100+...nuts

Atleast with Video Games the digital versions go on sale much more often, you don't have to wait, and physical games no longer hold their value like they used to.

Digital Cards.... ????

Can't wait for digital grading

I am with you. That's why I love collecting cards. I like holding a physical copy in my hands and sorting my cards and looking through them. If I wanted digital I would have never got back into collecting 10 years ago. I would just pull up scans of cards on the internet when the mood strikes me.

Scam, pyramid scheme and tech speculation bubble -- such have been the more cynical responses to the meteoric rise of the NFT (non-fungible token) market.

So has the boom gone bust already?

Perhaps, according to recent figures published by Nonfungible.com, which show that the average price of NFTs plummeted almost 70% from a peak of around $4,000 in mid-February to around $1,400 last week. Since Bloomberg first reported the price crash on April 3, sales remain low.

https://www.cnn.com/style/article/nf...tan/index.html

As Melissa Gilmour, the founder of the London-based NFT agency Lily & Piper, puts it: "A drop in value was inevitable. There has been an over-saturation of platforms and it's getting hard to differentiate and navigate."

I do think the numbers, though, may be skewed due to some extremely high "art world" sales prior to the (correction). The point about over-saturation of platforms I think is very important though. Real problem in my opinion.

prices rise and lower on physical cards alot too, think with the nfts there was alot of hype with people getting involved becuase of fomo , if someone said to you nba cards bubble has burst because prices have lowered since febuary you would hardly agree. certainly dont see them as a scam hahahah nobody forcing or manipulating these people to buy

Isn’t that exactly the beauty of the NFT market, you’ve full transparency among almost all sales and platforms?

Yes the market got corrected, but NFTs are here to stay and will exist together with other collectibles.

Yup.

So many people missed out on other digital investments, like Bitcoin, that there are a lot of FOMO going on with initial NFT's right now.

The big thing to consider with the values being paid, is the marketing.

Major NFTs are pimped on the internet, advertised on major platforms, discussed on forums like this and pumped before they go live on social media.

It a feeding frenzy of hype. A ton of eyes on what's being offered.

You buy in, then what? 6 months, 2 years or whenever you go to sell. You won't have the same hype, or all the pomp and pageantry that surrounded these IPO's.

You really think you'll be getting more money then? Or when so many other NFT's of "like" types are everywhere?

I can't see how.

It's the newest side hussle and people are dropping money for it like suckers. At some point it will be likely that these digital cards won't be worth anything and the thousands being spent will be money down the drain. Just give it another year or so until people finally get out going on vacations and doing stuff again that they stop being bored and spend their money on stupid stuff.
