Default Celtics - trade for Vucevic or Porziņģis

Celtics need to shake things up around the core of Tatum / Jaylen / Robert Williams.

What are the most likely trades for next year?

I would trade Kemba and Marcus Smart for a big man that can rebound and shoot the 3.

My top 2 trade targets are:

1. Porziņģis

2. Vucevic

Trade for KP. Mavs will take anything that works.

Collins or Siakam maybe.

The Celtics need a true floor general at PG though.

Gotta move Kemba. Take anything for him. Maybe for Lowery?

Not KP. I saw a crazy meme which states Campazzo has more RPG than KP in the playoffs. Idk how true it is, but I wouldn't doubt it lol

Porzingis? Yes, he is a big and they need to stop running around with essentially a team whose best 6 players are all SG/SFs.

But Porzingis is soft. While he's a big, he just adds to the collection of shooters on the team

Lowry is a free agent and I can't see him going to Boston.

The Celtics would have to trade a ton to get Siakam. It wouldn't be worth it

I just don't know what the Celtics have that they could trade for Collins now that Bogie has established himself. I'd love to have Jaylen but they aren't moving him for anything.

Celtics can’t do anything unless they get rid of Kemba. Kemba, Tatum and brown eat almost the entire cap. They can’t afford Lowry or Collins. Vucevic, Siakam and KP are all signed and would need to be traded for. Bulls and raptors aren’t taking Kemba on to make the Vucevic or Siakam deals work. They would have to trade either brown or Tatum as the centrepieces for those deals. Maybe, maybe you could trade Kemba for KP but I still think it’s a long shot. Sure KP hasn’t lived up to his contract but I’m pretty sure Luka wanted him there so not sure he gets dealt. Honestly would either team be better after that trade? Kemba in Dallas and KP in Boston seems like a step sideways for both teams

Kemba just really hampers this team. The trade exemption they accumulated from the Hayward deal is nice but they still have the hard cap to deal with. I believe they have to relive 9 million to be able to use the full amount of the exemption.

Do you follow the Celtics? Are you a fan? They tried to trade for Vucevic, and went with Evan. They need to figure out how to get that third star. How do they get Tatums best friend Bradley Beal. Crazy C's fan and former Celtics writer.

They used the trade exception on Evan Fournier.

Celtics would have to pay for someone to take Kemba off their hands and this point.

Any interest in Kevin Love??? lol

The Celtics need to package Kemba for Beal. Give up all the young guys we have. This years pick and many future picks. All star players push themselves to teams these days. Beal and Tatum want to play together.

Beal is the answer? I don't see it. Not that he's not a terrific player.

But how has the "lets corner the market in wing players" gone so far? Every year their big moves are to bring in wing players, many of them need ball in their hands to be their best selves. And while Kemba is not a wing- he's just another small guy who needs the ball in his hands to be his best.

I mentioned earlier that I don't think Porzingis is the answer either. While he's a big, all he does is shoot. No D, poor rebounding, not a facilitator.

For years the Celts have tried this style, and its not leading anywhere. If anything it's regressing. Their best 4-6 players all seem to have largely the same skill set, which is not the way to build a franchise IMO.

The days of the Cs getting anything they want are over.

I don't think they have enough to get Beal, that dude is going to get an auction run up on his services.

First Tatum has been playing PF in today's NBA at 6'10. So Smart at PG, Beal or Brown at SF/SG, Tatum PF, Timelord at Center. What spot does KD play now? Power Forward. Same format as Golden state?

The C's aren't losing to Brooklyn because of size. Talent wins and stars together at the right age means a lot. Tatum has grown into a better passer, and will for sure be able to dish off to Beal and Brown. ISO ball wins with 3 stars, who play team ball once together. Like we're seeing with the Nets.

Beal is a better answer then what I've seen mentioned here. Jokic isn't available, KAT isn't available, so who else?

If we could just attract some solid vets that can defend and score and are cheap. Our bench has no depth or consistency. Wish we had a Josh Hart, Norman Powell or heck...wish we never lost Jae Crowder! Tough as nails and able to do a bit of everything.

Crowder I miss too. Nesmith is our three and "D" guy. He's also able to create his own shot, just not at a high level. It took Stevens too long to get him into the lineup. Unfortunately I think free agents won't come to Boston after recent drama. It will have to be through trades.
