Default 1978 and 1979 Football sets. Great condition.

Have both of these sets. Not huge value but curious if I should grade key cards or just sell the sets. Looking to sell both but is their any cards worth chancing for a good grade or just sell as set? All cards in great condition but I doubt any are 10’s??

10's from these years are extraordinarily tough and even 9's for that matter. Post some pictures of the key cards and folks could give you a quick opinion.

Nice sets. Obviously The 58 and 59 Brown and Unitas cards are worth grading along with key RC’s from 48-71.

With PSA raising their prices and still dealing with a huge backlog, I wouldn't grade anything unless:

1) You're definitely planning to sell the card
2) You're good enough at "pre-grading" to be certain that the card will receive a high enough grade to be worth the cost.

There are plenty of collectors out there (especially for vintage) that still love raw cards....

Sorry to be clear I meant when reasonable submission levels return.
Otherwise yes raw sales are doing well.

I would say I see a lot of OC cards in those sets. Grading wise best u may get is an 8 if front, back, and corners are perfect. That's a big "if" to spend on grading prices right now or even further down the road. Selling raw may be the best option right now.
