plus the price point is going to be 2x what these weekly sets go for. I'm guessing at least 9.99 a pack, and you need to purchase at least 2 packs to just get the SPs, without relying on trading.

Yea that was my thought too, was excited thinking that if they are releasing a set, they MUST have gotten SJ to sign but no autos = no deal for me

I wonder if Upper Deck had a contractual obligation to make this set but didn't put much effort into it when they couldn't/wouldn't get Scarlett Johansson to sign.

Considering that these limited sets always sell out and that they are printing 1,000 packs a week, they will be pulling in $10-20,000 a week for 18 weeks straight depending on the pack price of these. People are guessing $10, but really it could be anywhere between $10 and $20 knowing Upper Deck.

They're not paying any part of the profits to distributors or retailers since it's Epack, just whatever percentage COMC gets. Seems like a smart move on UD's part.

For collectors, it sucks because of no autographs. I liked the movie and would have liked to own auto cards of Florence Pugh, Rachel Weisz, David Harbour, and Olga Kurylenko. I would have bought the set without a ScarJo auto because the supporting cast was strong.

Yup, Florence alone would've been a massive get.

100%

But they will still rake in a profit. Way too many speculators and flippers. It'll sell out for sure.

Sketches only as achievements and no autos? Hard pass.

I would take $ spend on product and just buy singles or sketch you may desire instead.

If they price this right (Unbound pricing or lower) I think this set will probably trade better than Unbound on ePack. Plus it’s only 18 weeks which is way more manageable than the 52 week grind of trying to complete the unbound auto set for a sketch.

I collect a Memorabilia card or two from every set so I'll be looking forward to seeing what is offered.
Hopefully they won't just be older black widow material from older movies/sets.

Just keep in mind it appears from the preview that while the base and SP will be exclusive to each week, the inserts (including the memorabilia cards) will be randomly inserted all 18 weeks. So a relic that seems rare in week 1 might ultimately end up having a lot more copies after all 18 weeks are through. So a bit of patience might work in your favor if you are solely collecting relics from this set.

I can't stand Black Widow in the films. I'll never watch this one.

My opinion will be unpopular but I liked Black Widow more than Shang-Chi. My personal preference. I also have no real desire to collect this set without autos in it.

I feel the same.
I came into both movies open minded, Widow was simple, but the latter half of Shang Chi was too overwhelming/over the top for me, just way too much stuff squeezed in the last half of the movie.

Saw both for the first time in a double-feature at the drive-in when Shang-Chi opened, and liked them equally.
None of these MCU movies are "Citizen Kane", but they generally deliver what is promised.

The other weekly is $10 a pack for one card, so $15 for 4 cards hardly seems any more crazy than Unbound.

That sold out faster than I thought it would.

Would anyone happen to have a screenshot of the pack odds?

I bought my 3 packs and figured i could go back to the page to see the odds but then it sold out.

I have no idea if my "red flasher" insert is rare (Sisterhood, SH-3)
