Set Building - 2018-19 Donruss Optic Rated Rookie - PSA 10 Only

2018 Donruss Optic is my favorite set. I'm a Luka collector and his Optic Holo is my favorite card. So I've decided to try to put the Rated Rookie set together. It's going to be difficult as some of these cards are extremely low-pop and a few even are POP 0. I'll update this page as I go. In the mean time, if anyone is selling some that I am missing, and want to sell, send me a PM. Interesting Note: I noticed that PSA has some errors in the pop report. They list Svi as a POP 0. I entered my certificate number in and found out they list it under football cards. I wonder how often stuff like this happens?

Amazing set.

I'm gonna guess you'll have to buy and sub a lot of these guys yourself because the pop count on guys like Melvin Frazier and Chimezie Metu are not going up anymore.

And you know Panini knows they crushed this design when they reused it in 2021 NFL Chronicles Draft Picks instead of the 2019 or 2020 design!

No doubt about it. Some are pop 0 so at some point I will need to make some tough decisions. But, if it gets completed it will be a one of a kind set, we shall see, i'm in no hurry

Yes. A couple of the low-pop or no-pop seem to have centering issues as well when I look a raw examples. Maybe its where they were on the sheet when being cut. I noticed that the red /99 of this set has terrible centering causing extremely low pop.

Yup I have some of those cards for my PC. Some of them even have surface issues. I have two sextons red /99 that have very similar issues with the surface.

I have a corner of my desk in my office where the light comes in the window at just the right angle. I take a picture on a black background. I use a program on my PC to cut out the card, place it on the background you see, adjust light, and add the reflection effect. Lots of experimenting.

You might want to get a Miles Bridges sooner rather than later with the way he's been playing this year. Dude's been tearing it up. He looks hungry for a big contract.

What a set! I did this entire set raw, with the base set holos included.... but had subbed a few Lukas very early on. I know a guy who subbed like x15 Traes in a single submission. Not one 10.....

Best of luck doing this!
