Base Cards

I know this has been covered a million times over but for the first time I opened several cello packs of basketball cards and was wondering (since I'm more of a baseball guy myself) if a lot of people build sets in the basketball hobby and what do most of you on here do with your base. I know its been covered alot but being a baseball guy topps makes a lot of sets that are fascinating for set builders like topps heritage etc...Since I'm new to basketball I know the main three are Prizm/Optic/Mosaic, but are there alot of people into the base cards of these sets or even lesser sets like nba hoops? Basically what sets do people in basketall cards do people like to build?

I send my base (+ other stuff) to COMC. No headaches, and that would be the first port of call for most collectors looking to fill out sets etc.

Why would you send your base cards to Comc when the cheapest option is now 50 cents per card?
