Default Binder storage - real estate listing

Was browsing some local listings and came across this in one of them.

I need to step up my game!

Think the Mantle is in that '52 binder? Or Jordan in the '86 Fleer? Would love to flip through a bunch of these.

It's very well done, especially like the floating shelves.

There are more collectibles shown. Any other views of the room?

(Raises hand) and I kept them right next to my set of 1993 McDonald's Baseball Glasses. (I traded the cans but still have the glasses).

Multiple wood tones and textured ceilings would be mine, honestly looks kinda awful....The Binders are Superb though so i can forgive his lack of stylistic awareness

I wonder if he’s moving for more binder space - no more room to grow along that wall!

That looks awesome. But storing binders upright over time is bad for the cards inside. Due to the weight it damages the cards in the lower right corner pocket and possibly the cards closest to the metal rings of the binder. Binders Should be stored flat.

If the binders are full and pushed snugly together, they will be fine. It looks like he's generally got that covered except for a couple of places with a gap. It's definitely a nice presentation.

Honestly, placing several binders on top of each other seems like it would cause damage to the cards on the bottom of the stack with all of that weight smashing down on them, pressing the cardboard and polypropylene together.

What's the listed price of the house? Do the cards come with it?

Yes stacking them on top of each other is not a good idea due to the weight as you mentioned but if you store them on individual shelves then they are easily accessible and damage free.

This has been long debated on other threads. But if you store them correctly in the right kind of binder, upright is fine. I have binders that have been stored upright for 40 years and never had a problem.

Binders with page lifters and slip covers produce the best result. MJ Roop systems were a little expensive but worth it.
