Default ebay buyer to block thdex0

This guy won 7 auctions and never paid for any of them. I was able to cancel bids on 3 others he was winning before they ended. This was after several attempts to contact him with no response. Check out his feedback. I can't believe ebay hasn't banned this guy yet.

I had this guy on my block list already. I think he did this to me too. Confirmed.

My question would why are they all showing as positive instead of negative?

I don't think a seller can leave a negative

Sellers are leaving false positives, which technically are not allowed and are removable, however they clue other sellers about the buyer's nonpaying habits.

What is even more important and helpful to other sellers than doing that is waiting the 4 days and canceling due to nonpayment. I question how many sellers are doing that here.

This buyer's feedback is ridiculous, literally page after page of constant non-payments.

OP did you wait the 4 days? What are your automatic block settings? 2 non-payments in 12 months? This is the ideal setting and I hope would avoid this kind of thing automatically.

Just blocked this guy earlier (thank you) only to realize I have an outstanding unpaid auction from last week from him.

Blocked. Thank you. Real shame that sellers cannot leave negatives. eBay really needs to revisit that. I know it's been years.

Ebay made the correct move in eliminating that imo, it takes away the tit for tat negatives and buyers' fear to leave a justified negative.

It makes more sense to have a policy of too many unpaid caused cancellations = ramifications and booted off ebay. This is what ebay needs to get more strict with here. Something isnt adding up with this guy's feedback. We have two possibilities:

-Most of those countless sellers waited the full 4 days and cancelled due to nonpayment. In this case, ebay is way too lax, and that needs to change- how can they let a buyer continue to do this with all these strikes.

-Almost none of the sellers are waiting the 4 days and cancelling due to nonpayment. This seems rather unlikely since there are tons. OP didnt respond, but I was wondering what he did here in terms of cancelling.

More sellers need to be aware of the automatic block settings, ebay has it hidden away deep in buyer management....these settings need to be prominently shown in my ebay. More sellers having strict auto blocks would very much curtail non-paying buyers (imagine if almost all sellers had the strict blocks, these types of buyers would have no one to buy from)

How does eBay prevent this? It's getting really annoying seeing some of my auctions get shilled and I have no recourse but to run it again and hope it doesn't happen again.

I did wait the 4 days and cancel because of non-payment. Update, I just got off the phone with ebay. I asked how this was possible. The guy was very vague, but he did say they were aware of his many non-payments and were going to take action. Also the guy sent me a couple of messages on ebay saying my kids were mongloids and asking if my dog has a montgomery club membership as well as my kids, so he is obviously lurking here on message boards. But the fact that he called me a F-tard in one message was enough, according to the ebay rep to have him banned. If anyone knows his username on the forums, I would love to try to have him banned from here as well

How many NPB strikes must he have by now? More than 100, that's for certain. Is that a record?

Not sure how legal this is to do for eBay, but I wish you had to either have something tied to an account or eBay has its own account where you have to have enough money in it to place a bid/offer. Once it is placed then the money will be automatically pending and can't be moved out.

Have another button to select for multiple orders where they can bid or get more items. After a certain amount of days (if they don't win or can't agree upon a price) then it auto pays.

For counter offers from a seller or even offers, you won't be able to accept them until you move enough money into the account (grayed out).

What a loser. Definitely something wrong with him to behave like such a jerk. Too bad his parent(s) didn't raise him better.

(and blocked him on eBay, of course).

You can leave FB AFTER cancelling for non-payment, its just a PITA to do and playing with fire using "false positives"
