Running two events a week, every week is going to put them back in a hole. Really should be once a week at most. At this rate they are adding 15000 new cards a week to the backlog from economy alone.

15,000 a week is less than 10% what they grade a week. They just need to not break their 80/20 rule. 80% of cards graded each week for the backlog and 20% for new submissions.

It is probably higher than 15,000 a week though, don't dealers get some economy spots as well?

I think demand will come down with this many new cards being graded per week. I was sitting on a decent stack of cards 2 months ago, sent in 20 once the $100 level came out, and with my 2nd allocation today that will be another 20 at this level (10 with PCS + 10 on my own). From here on out I don't have as many "definitely going to sub" cards, all the stuff in the $100-200 raw range I might wait for another price drop

Agree. The $100 level burned off the majority of the pent up demand in about a week when it opened. This will take longer, but I’d guess within a month most of the $50 pent up demand will be burned off then we’ll be stuck for the next 6 months waiting on value to reopen.

Only variable will really be how many people are willing to pay $50 to grade a card worth $2-300 as a gem.

They are doing roughly 35k cards a day now based on December #s. 20% of that is going towards new subs so that's 7k cards a day or the same 35k cards per week. If they run 2 of these per week every week then looks like they are using ~40% of their 'new sub' capacity towards these events.

Do we think group subbers and public submissions at all other open levels amounts to ~20k cards per week? If they ran 1 per week that's up to ~27k per week capacity for new subs. Idk how many they are getting but something in that ball park for all the open levels Regular+ and group submissions seems reasonable. Doubt they are adding anything to 'backlog'.

They are definitely not adding anything to the backlog. they wouldn’t be running events so often if they were.

100%

This is me too

I have maybe 5-10 more cards that I would consider at $50/per so another allocation or two and I’ll be good until I buy more stuff that I end up wanting to grade

Ditto. I managed to score on all the economy lotteries thus far but don't think I have anymore $300+ type cards, were I to participate in next week's offerings. The only reason I'd attempt one is being able to hit a couple of card shows next weekend where I'm bound to find a couple goodies.

In the waiting room...

Completed my previous allocation submission last night and mailed it this morning.

I've down 2 now since this started... and definitely running out of things from my almost year's long stash I'm even comfortable considering at $50.

This, if allocated, will probably be my last one until value/bulk returns!

Nice. Can someone please post a link to the waiting room? I don't see it on the PSA website when I log in.

6070 - this is getting worse -better off paying extra $$ to group submitters. total waste of time. better off giving us back our membership fees.
