Default Fun 90s/early 2000s game used sets to PC

I'm toying with the idea of putting together some game used sets for my PC and would love to get some ideas from you all. I'm on a budget and rarely pay more than $200 for a card, so keep that in mind. Got any favorites?

In the early 2000s, Ultimate Collection, SPX and Upper Deck Black and Black Diamond had some neat and affordable game used jersey cards.

One of the best looking ones imo is the 2001-02 Fleer Genuine Final Cut. It's a great design and very affordable. A lot of the cards are even patches. Another is the 2000-01 Fleer Feel the Game. Large checklist with great players and also very affordable. Unfortunately, 1997 all the way to 99-2000 Upper Deck stuff is very expensive.

I pulled some Feel the Game cards back in the day so that's a great suggestion. I probably should have said early to mid 2000s as I realize '90s game used is typically pricey. Wish I could afford those!

I really like 1999 apex net shredders too. Game used, but different. I have a lot of AI and TMac so the checklist works for me but it is a little light there. Fleer got nets from Sac, Philly, Toronto, SAS and Milwaukee.

Love these too. Big fan of the nontraditional game used stuff. Topps Pristine Sweat and Tears is another one I'm considering.

Always liked the 99-00 UD Hologrfx Shoetime set, one of the first sneaker swatch sets if not the first. Mj and kobe can get up there but I’m pretty sure the rest of the set is reasonable especially for the crazy pack odds.

Both 1999 or 2000 UD MVP souvenirs. Affordable, good checklist, Kobe is there, and ball swatches are much more rare these days.

The first game used card I ever got was actually from this set. Mike Bibby.

It's already been said but I second Fleer Genuine Final Cut. Great looking set and pretty cheap. I've also considered going for Fleer Genuine Names of the Game (01-02)

True. Any GU set starting with "199-" is gonna run you big bucks.

01-02 Flair Jersey Heights comes to mind. You avoid Kobe so no big dollar cards but still quality names (T-Mac, Vince, Ewing, Ray Allen, etc.) and lots of color swatches.

I don't know how early you're looking into the 00's, but I love the 03-04 Topps Pristine Gems set.

I collected in the early and mid 2000's. Most of my cards are from them I bought a few UD boxes and packs, but mostly topps products.

I like these sets:

from 2001-02 topps chrome:

Shorts Illustrated (shorts )
Lacing Up (shoelaces)/50 - The Shaq is probably well over $200 though

2002-03 topps chrome
Franchise Fabrics (GU from the Franchise player)
Final Destination
Shaq Attack (Shaq G.U. - 5 in the set)

2003-04 topps
Love it Live GU - the McGrady (need it) and Garnett are hard to find
Welcome to Atlanta GU - have the full set except for WA1 (Iverson/McGrady)

2003-04 topps chrome
Bonus Coverage - need Garnett (VHTF), Michael Finely (VHTF)
Gametime Gear
Chrome Cuts - need Kenyon Martin

If you want a Lebron GU, one of his first NBA G.U. is from 2003-04 Upper Deck (his rookie year) and their Game Jersey set. I like the design of it, but never collected it. His card is probably around $200 and the rest are pretty cheap. There are also the cards from Upper Deck Hardcourt which have small pieces of his high school floor on them (five in the set, if I recall correctly).

I’m a fan of the 00-01 Heritage Articles of the Arena which have Chicago Stadium and Boston Garden seat pieces with a small set size and a larger set in 01-02 with Boston court pieces

1999-00 E-X Genuine Coverage was always a pretty cool set. Pretty nice checklist and affordable. Shaq sold in January for $18 is that tells you anything and he may be the most expensive in the set, not sure.

The hats off draft day hats are really cool and super reasonable pricewise too. Always loved the 98-99 large swatch hand numbered genuine coverage jersey cards too.

The shoe/net/towel/hat relic cards don’t really get made anymore and garbage panini doesn’t even guarantee anything is worn.

I've been going after the 03-04 Topps jersey sets as well. I am down to needing two of the three really hard to find Piece of a Dream relics (have Brand, need Kidd and Sprewell).

I also like the look of the 2004 UD Trilogy Cutting Edge set - I've picked up a couple of the bigger names. I don't think I will do the whole set though, maybe just the HOFers or something.

I believe that the first NBA game-worn shoe set is Authen-Kicks, from 1998-99 E-X Century.
Each player from this set has various print runs due to different shoe sizes.

Keith Van Horn from this set contains both unsigned (3rd eBay link above) and signed (hand numbered to 44 copies) versions.

They are later on in life but one of my favorite patch sets of all times is from 12 /13 flawless. (The silver / 25 and the gold /10s specifically)

I picked this one up a few weeks ago... It's a project I never get tired of. Have had around 40 unique ones from the silver #/25 set at one point.

Topps Pristine had some very strong JSY card designs in my opinion. The checklists lacked big names thou.

the base is cheap, but the refractor version looks to be crazy rare /25

2000-01 Topps Stadium Club had pretty unique memorabilia placement.
