Default Do any retail stores actually stock baseball cards any more?

I've checked out 5 Target stores and 6 Wal-Mart's, but none of them have baseball cards and only a couple have any sports cards. I did see a few with Magic the Gathering cards and nothing else.

So is it just too early or have stores stopped carrying them because of theft and grown men fighting each other for them?

Probably just have a couple people that still stalk the stores for what they do stock. That and maybe your local stores just dont stock much, Or maybe they have people backdooring or stealing the stuff. Mine are similar, i have 2 walmarts and 2 targets. The walmarts are a hole, nothing stays on shelves, its always empty except for a few non indemand stuff-magic, stickers, etc. The targets are similar though not as bad, since they do enforce some limits on purchases.
Anyway, good luck.

A lot fewer than in the past, due to stalkers harassing employees and fighting over product when it arrives.

MLB/Fanatics has a huge distribution problem......they need to make cards more accessible and buying them easier. Get them back into grocery stores/drugstores/gas stations/toy stores, etc.

Depends where you live.

I could probably buy 10 000 baseball blasters/hangers/whatever a week if I wanted to but no one wants them. Only 2022 Series 1 hangers are somewhat in demand.

Yes, they show up. Locally, it's been very few and far between, but a WM had a good supply of blasters of HHN and Topps Update, plus Panini stuff, but that dried up and hasn't been replenished. A wave of FB and BKB hit locally a couple weeks ago, and I was actually able to get a couple Mosaic BKB blasters. But the woman stocking the shelves was like a trauma patient. I randomly stumbled across her setting up and I was just looking and she was defensive, telling me very strongly to go off and wait until she was done. Poor workers have been harassed for the last 2 years, I couldn't blame her.

I never see anything in South Jersey.

I actually just ran out to Target and Barnes Noble at lunch hoping to get some S1 blasters for later and nothing.

I know here we have 3 walmarts, 2 meijers, and 2 targets. 2 Of the walmarts have put stuff back on the regular shelves and they are wiped out instantly same with one of the meijers and both targets. The other walmart is always fully stocked because they limit 1 item per sport and is kept behind a counter. The other Meijer stocks older stuff on the shelf but has a locked cabinet that is kept at the electronics counter and has a limit of 2 per item.

I mean when people on here saying their shelves got wiped out almost instantly still are you all even talking about the junk like Chronicles basketball and Mosaic baseball? I mean who is clearing stuff like that? Ive had the same 30 blasters of Chronicles, 6 Blasters of WNBA, and 10 Gallery Blasters for what seems like months.

Walked into a store this morning and me and two other guys chatted a bit about what were looking for and split up what was there. We all 3 walked away with some stuff and there was still plenty in the shelf.

They just started showing up at my local Targets recently. Walmarts still have nothing around me. Shelves have been empty for 2 years and last month or so I’ve been able to find some blasters and packs at Target. Generally the same stuff they have available for sale online.

assuming you mean walmart. the difference in the number of people searching different areas still is crazy to me. Walmart near me will have at least 10 people in the store when vendor stocks if she does it at an obvious time like friday morning.

Some areas guys just walk in to a full shelf and nobody around, other areas it’s a 10 way split every time.

Bought an S1 hanger at a WalMart this morning. Cards still in a locked case; had multiple brands for every sport. @ Next WM up the road, cards just back on regular shelves - except those shelves are empty.

from what i’ve heard there may have been some corporate direction to start moving them back out. Store today was wiped out in 60 seconds after moving it back to sales floor last week, where it would sit in stock all day with limit 1 at cs previously.

It’s more cost effective for me to buy individual cards online
Than roll the dice on boxes
And I can get exactly what I want

Haven’t checked many Targets in my area, but Walmarts and Meijers are beginning to get back to precovid inventory levels and availability. Minus the discount bins though.

Where? I’ve hit Reston Target and Tysons Corner Wal Mart consistently over the last two weeks and only ever see Magic cards and WWE
