https://twitter.com/FCBsportscards/s...23128703012867

Well he is/was the head of Fanatics sports card division so seemingly it could have an impact on the future of our hobby.

I assume one of his superiors opened a box of VeeFriends and the rest is history.

And I’m sure there are dozens of people more qualified to run a major sports card company than him. Going on Backyard Breakers showed pretty bad judgement in my opinion and shows he’s out of touch with current events in the hobby so probably no great loss. He also seems like the serial entrepreneur type and probably is ready to move onto the next thing.

Oh, I looked at this as a positive, not a loss.

Much easier to wear out your welcome quickly when you aren't the one who built up the company.

He's apparently a breaker too. When has a breaker ever lied to anyone? /s

He's probably just trying to draw attention to his crappy site.

That being said, Luber has been a disaster since the jump.

We shall see.

What did he do before fanatics? I mean, if he had no prior connections to leadership at any of the established companies and, in turn, the players organizations, etc. that's really not good and could really create a mess as deadlines loom to get operations up and running in time for them to take over production, etc.

I'm not saying its accurate, but he's the founder of a forum thats been around for several years. He also has 7k followers, not 4. Although, I'm not sure there is any correlation between followers and inside information.

He founded StockX I believe. Not sure before that.

Wait, did he partner with them before or after the Kaboom fiasco?

He founded a billion dollar company. But growing and running a company are very different challenges. He was forced out of StockX for not being up to the latter, and continued antics that are no longer ok when you aren't solely in charge.
