Default My first Superfractor! - Now what?

I'm pretty pumped after pulling my first Superfractor! I opened two boxes at my local card store just for fun - I tend to buy more singles but had some time to kill.

I don't know a ton about Lewin Diaz, but it looks like he has a decent chance of being an ok player. So, I'm wondering what to do next?
1. Grade and sell?
2. Sell raw?
3. Hold for a while?

Don't waste any time grading it. Sell it while you can before the whole market starts dipping after the all-star break. 25 year-old 1B still in the minors and can't crack the Marlins roster is an easy sell

Sell (see “reasons why” above).

As far as grading, I probably wound’t, but it’s competing against other superfractors of mediocre players out there… so maybe SGC express service if you want to take that route? If you feel like gambling, you could always try and wait to see if Jesus Aguilar gets injured or traded at the deadline, that would give Diaz some more playing time and name recognition.

Unless you want to hold onto it just for sentimental value, sell. Maybe wait to see if he gets another cup of coffee to sell

Do this, the guy has a less than 0.01% of becoming anything worth the hold and I am not exaggerating in the slightest.

If you need money now, sell. If not, I would hold it. As others have pointed out...a 25 YO isn't going to all of sudden turn into an MVP candidate. That said, he has tremendous power. All it takes is a recall to the majors and a hot couple of weeks and it will spike in value. If that doesn't happen, you'll still be able to sell it for more than you might think to a supercollector or family member.

This is good advice. He is tearing it up in the minors. Will get a real shot soon.

I'd grade it just to get action from Chrome set builders.

I'm leaning towards this, but not sure about grading it or not.

I wouldn't grade personally. Save the cash. If he goes 'boom', it really won't matter. If he fizzles, it also won't matter. It's a true rookie super...there literally is nothing else like it!

Sweet. I would keep it. The sentimental value should be worth more than the $$$.

What sentimental value? He doesn’t sound too attached to it.

If you’re going to hold it don’t get it graded unless he explodes, if he does then grade it, grading should be cheaper by then anyway.

Don’t grade it, no real upside unless it comes back a 10 and then it only will add a little. I would list on eBay with a high BIN and see if you get any offers. If someone really wants it and pays the full BIN then you have a win win situation. If it doesn’t sell but you have offers then at least you know where the card stands in value.

He scored on a balk tonight. This would be the hot time to sell it.
