heart BGS to PSA crossover 2022

Hello everybody! It's my first time posting on this site, and I was hoping for some help! I sent in a BGS 9.5 with a 9 for centering and 3 10's. The card is perfect, and I looked at it for flaws; unfortunately, it's just the centering. I used the PSA crossover service, but it didn't meet the minimum grade of 10. Should I keep trying, or am I wasting my time and money? Thank you for reading! Be safe!

With a 9 centering, I would not. If you really want to try for the 10, you need to roll the dice and crack it out of the case.

^ this. The moment they see that another grading company gave it a lower grade than their top grade, there's almost no way they're going to give out the bump up. However, if they think it's a raw card and look at it as only being slightly off center, you've got a way better chance. Not sure where we're at with PSA being lenient on centering, but if all the other areas are 10's on the BGS review, I'd say it's definitely worth a shot.

Recently crossed a bgs 9.5 with 3 9.5s and centering 9. 4 other cards didn’t cross. 3 of them were true gems or higher. This was the only one that crossed.

You're wasting your time and money. It will never cross, and 95% chance if you submit it unslabbed it will be a 9 at best.

If you don't crack those out of the holder, its a waste of time and money. If its noticeably off center, that BGS 9.5 is likely the best you'll do on it and I'd suggest you leave it as is.

Plenty of cards with 9 or even 8.5 centering have been cracked and graded 10 by PSA. Not sure where 95% is coming from.

you have to crack it. They can't really grade it in the case anyway. Those subs should make a PSA 10 although you never know the grader, etc, etc.

Two things:

1. As nabzy28 said, PSA has no incentive whatsoever to cross it over. You have to crack it to have much of a chance.

2. PSA and BGS look for different things. BGS is much more lenient on corners, and PSA is much more strict on them, so depending on the actual condition of the card, you have to make sure that it fits what PSA is looking for even if you crack and submit.
