Default Durant requests a trade

He will bring a huge haul for the Nets.

Tell him to go pound salt. He's under contract for 4 years. He will be 38 the start of the season after his deal ends. Not to mention lose $200 million. There is no chance he sits out for 4 years. You won't get back anywhere near equal value. Also have zero chance to win a championship any time soon if trading him.

Suns could be a decent trade partner. Sign and trade Ayton, Bridges, Cam Johnson and a raft of picks.

I haven't watched since the late 90s, I thought it was deteriorating in the early 200s and it has become total junk leading into the modern day. (I've heard the same about other sports.) Although, I do pay attention any time I hear the Choke-lahoma Blunder are in the playoffs, because I derive great pleasure when they get crushed and eliminated. May the Seattle SuperSonic curse be on them for all time.

Well....he's proven himself to be a head case, and has wrecked the last two teams he played for.....

If I were the Lakers, I would trade AD for KD. Lebron and KD would be a scary combo!

I wonder if KD will ever be able to lead a team to a CHIP.

Hope the Nets don’t give in. But if they do, at least this puts KD’s legacy in the ground, never to come back again. A guy who could never lead a team to a title, who always wanted out when things got tough.

KD wishes he had Steph Curry’s leadership. Unfortunately he’s got Oscar the grouches leadership. I think he goes down as one of the most mentally fragile superstars ever. I legit think he has mental health issues.

I don't like KD but he had no chance in Brooklyn. Kyrie refused to play, Harden quit on him, then Simmons came along and refused to play. I'd get my ass out of there too as fast as I could.

Nothing brings out the saltiness like a good old fashioned trade demand.

If this happens someone is going to pay a ton for KD. It'll be interesting is the Nets still try to push to contend, or blow it up and load up on picks before it's too late.

I appreciate the sentiment that contracts matter in sports (since we all know they don't)

But I also live in the real world

If he wants out? He's out

Contract be damned... and the Nets aren't going to shoot themselves in the foot, just like any other professional sports franchise, by letting an asset just "sit out" for 4 years. They don't care about saving the money. They want something back for him. Whatever that is

Reality people
