I mean they aren't the prettiest, but I also think the BGS slabs as they were now looked kind of cheap.

I think the worst part is they got rid of the inner sleeve. And the black label doesn't look as premium somehow.

Just when I thought BGS couldn't do anything else to loose market share, they prove me wrong...

It doesn't look like an improvement to me personally, but hopefully they at least have better security features that can't be faked like the current holders.

Just annoying that there is no info on the new slabs on the BGS website. Hopefully the website gets updated soon.

The posters sized cards at the national are prototypes. New slabs are not finalized yet.

That was my thought as well. After the negative response, "nah, just samples, looking for feedback" appears to be a complete PR spin.

There is not a single real card in a real slab on their website.

And frankly the flip is ok. The lack of sleeve is stupid and the bumper shape looks like some sort of ISA/KSA cheap knockoff. If those 2 things aren’t on the final slab I like it.

Seems like the easy thing is to use the CSG slab as a starting point and go from there

All they need to do is keep the slab they have (or very similar), make the flip the entire width of the card, throw the new logo on it and clean up all the fonts/styles with no subs or auto grades. Simple.

I don't really buy or sell BGS slabs - I don't like how the inner sleeve adds another layer of opaqueness to the cards making them not as clear to see, so i am more neutral towards the substance of the changes. What I don't get is why this get priority over other things that they could be doing? Their issue over the past two years has been poor communication and worst in the industry turnaround times - how does messing with the labels and the slab help with their largest issues?

Looks like SGC has a better chance at #2, but they need a little a bit of a slab redesign as well. Keep the color palate, improve the insert, and downsize overall case.
