Hi all. I'm a noob. I'm returning to card collecting as a late-Boomer. I have a small collection of cards from the mid-70s and late 80's. I'm not sure exactly how many cards; about two shoeboxes full (the boxes are designed for cards).
My question is what is the best computer program (that is iMac friendly) available to inventory my collection? Thanks for any advice....

A user here developed a program I intend to try at some point: https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1529854

That looks pretty interesting! I actually saw that program on the MacUpdate website. I plan to download it when I get a chance and toy with it.
Back in the mid-90's I had a Tandy computer that ran on an OS called Deskmate. It was very primitive. But, it had an inventory program that I configured to use as a database for all my cards. It actually worked really well. What I'd like to find is a database program that remains resident on my system at home, but would have connectivity to an online service that tracked changes in values. In this fantasy concept, the service would automatically email me when values changed beyond some parameter that I could designate. Back when I was using the Deskmate database I actually checked each card in Becketts; so I think I know which ones to keep an eye on. But, things have likely changed. Rookies from back then may have done well, guys got inducted into the HOF, etc. So, I suppose I'm going to have to dig through Becketts again.
