I was very excited to get this in the mail today. I hope the other 98 get ripped, this one is staying forever unripped. I care more about it as a Jazz card than whatever could be inside.

I've never done any of these rip cards, but if you're just collecting it and don't plan to resell, couldn't you rip it carefully and put it back into the toploader? Best of both worlds.

A&G mini collectors hate us. I have one on the way I'm not ripping either. To go with 2019, 2020, & 2021 unripped rip cards.

Nope. I like my cards in NM condition and ripping it damages the card. Like I said, I have no interest in whatever is inside. And I like the fact that it starts with 99 unripped cards and only goes down from there.

That’s my issue. What if you just got some mini of Max Muncy? It would be one seriously unsatisfying rip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

![]() The dude can hit, so why not take a flyer? Meanwhile, my offseason of ill-advised pitcher collecting continues. The redemption card isn’t pretty, but I’m excited about what it’ll net me. (Pretty sure it’s an SP.) ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Sweet pickups, man. Buying pitchers is always ill-advised, but that’s what makes it fun! I’m probably done buying Luzardo after my last binge, but that Sapphire is giving me the itch again…

Snagged this card today along with a few other Pujols cards for the collection:

Dat sapphire Luzardo is nice, one of my fav RCs of him.
This one…had a great 2nd half and actually won the silver slugger while no one was looking. It might’ve been a career year, or could be an even bigger breakout coming. Being old and playing for the Rangers(with all key 2019 cards have him a Ray)doesn’t help either. Nonetheless I’ve always liked his hitting/power combo potential and still occasionally find one I like: ![]() It was less than $40 dlvd at auction already all fancy graded so I’m pleased with this pickup

I've been picking up H.G.s as well, against my better judgment.

These just came today for my Kluszewski run. I also picked up a nice 68 Bench RC and will post a pic when it comes in.

I just had an epiphany about him a few days ago. He’s still only 23, already had his TJ, K’d nearly 12 per 9, with a respectable WHIP, and he’s barely thrown 300 innings as a pro—meaning he probably still has a steep learning curve. So… Why wouldn’t I give him a shot? (Besides that thing about him being a pitcher for Cincy.) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Ha- nice price! Looks familiar too
Hard to lose money on cards like that. One pleasant smelling fart(4 scoreless IP w/ 6ks) and it flips for $50. I got a TCU red/5 and a clear update of him keystered. Neither was $10

One was a months-long offer-counteroffer battle that resulted in no sale ...til it went for auction and ended way under all my prior offers. Now its worth a fraction of what I paid.

It was on my watchlist for a long, long time. $14.99 marked down to $9.74....then seller pushed an $8.99 offer. Always with free shipping. Couldn't say no any longer.
edit: just remembered I had another hobby-dead, sub $10 buy last month. This was an auction that ended at $3.25 (this was a ~$100 card raw at one time, oops!) https://www.blowoutforums.com/showth...r#post18534873 Most of the time I'm shopping for junk like this, the prices are way out of line with reality. I try to only collect trash at trash prices. Last edited by towerymt; 12-02-2022 at 06:20 PM. |

A few years ago I felt like the only dumpster diver on the boards but lately it feels like a small but consistent group of us. These pickup threads are like word of mouth for the well fed bums- “Hey man the arbys on the west side just put out a whole mess of beef n cheddars still in the wrapper!” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
