So I sent a couple cards in for GCR since alot were 0.5 away from gem. This one was the primary one that I wanted to get bumped which it did! Huge value swing...

Nice bump in value but doesn’t this show how inconsistent grading really is

I prefer semi clean raw with allowances for a few imperfections excluding creases or complete corner smashes

Keep sending cards in to get grade you want. cleaning and trim job but isn’t most big cards anyways. Bgs don’t even back their own slabs if not in psa it’s a handy job in my book.

I mean, it (surface) only went from a 9 to 9.5. Its not as if it went from an 8 to a 10.

Congrats! Another perfect example though of why it makes no sense for people to pay significantly more money for a gem mint (especially when compared to a mint or even nr-mt+).
