I've got a decent stash of Kyle Trask Prizm and Optic rookie cards.

Should I buy more? Is he Brady's heir? The next Mahomes?

Will he ever reach Brock Purdy level?

I am rooting for the kid as a Florida guy myself, he seems like a good guy with a nice backstory, and he makes the most sense for 2023. Due to cap issues and the fact they spend a 2nd round pick on him, they have to give him a shot. You don't waste a 2nd round pick on a QB that you don't plan to use, you can grab that kind of QB much later. I'd like to see what he can do with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin for weapons.

While I have a nice small collection of Trask I'm not going crazy. I learned my lesson the hard way with Jameis. Still trying to dig my way out of that fiasco.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news (not true), but Kyle Trask was doomed from the moment this thread was made.

Here are a few of my favorite Trask autos from my collection. I have about 30 in all. A few are in very good shape and I may send them off for grading, but just in case they don't make the grade, I bought a couple 9.5-10's

I think a lot of people are hot on Trask, his stuff was selling fast today and prices were at the top end. Odd though, I picked up a couple nice ones well under book which is rare right now for Trask

I don't think Trask is the next Brady or Mahomes, there may never be another Mahomes, and there most certainly won't be another Brady. Comparing Trask to either of those guys is not fair.

I think he could certainly have a nice career, and if he can have weapons like Godwin and Evans for a while, that can only help.
As a SW Florida guy here (and big collector of Trask cards) I am ready to see what he's got. Let's face it, we know who Blaine Gabbert is and what he has to offer, so let's see what Trask can do. A meaningless game coming up with no playoff implications is the perfect setting. Rest the starters. My gut feeling, or my hope is that Brady will start and not play much. Then maybe Trask gets in, but I'd love to see him play all 4 quarters

people also weren't throwing globs of money at Brady until he won his 2nd Super Bowl. his cards were cheap, even by standards from back then.

now, you've got people throwing ridiculous money at a guy who might never see the field, because he got drafted to the same team as Tom Brady.

if Brady does leave Tampa, i'd except them to go after a vet like Derek Carr.
