Got this beautiful Vince Carter Gold Patch Auto in an Immaculate case break, but it’s missing the patch! The extra holo foil is actually quite nice, but what does this mean for the card? Decreased value or Increased value as an error card? Should I send it back to Panini? I have no idea whether all the serials from this print run have the same issue or not. I’ve seen the /25 and they all have patches.

I would keep it like that. It looks great and someone who already has a patch version might go for it.

It looks as though when they die cut the card to create the patch window on the top sheet, the piece of cardboard to be removed stayed in place. You may find that if this is the case, the patch may still be behind the cardboard piece that was meant to be removed. You could try removing it the reveal the patch but in doing so you could potentially damage the card but you could also have a great looking patch hiding behind it. ![]() Cheers Matt Last edited by Lee42; 02-01-2023 at 02:38 AM. |

So it's like a rip card now. Lol! I would keep it as is. Looks good as is. The mystery adds to it. Plus if you sent it back, what are the chances Poopnini actually fixes the card and sends the same card back? They might send you a replacement card of some scrub instead.
