Nice Ken Griffey Jr. Antique Store Find

Hey guys I’m a football guy but saw this in an antique shop today and at the price I had to jump on it. Normally cards in antique shops are way overpriced. In fact most of his were. Recent raw comps on it seem to be $500 to $800. I’ll probably hang onto it and trade it for a football card I really need someday. Yes I did get it out of the screw down ASAP.

Worth a lot more than $800. I think you’re looking at backdoor copies.

Get that authenticated and slabbed before you do anything else.

I didn’t look to close at the sold ones on Ebay. I’m guessing because mine has the players name in foil on the back it’s legitimate?

Just learning here with you, but sure looks that way. Is your card as minty as it appears in the pics? PSA 10 did $8k, PSA 8 still did $2.5k. Congrats on an amazing find!!!

Backdoor copies don't have the players name in cursive foil on the back.
