Default One and One Vs National Treasures

Do you think One and One has a shot of taking over National treasures in high end? National treasures has been around a lot longer, but other than Logomen and true RPA’s the cards suck and don’t have much value. The Base cards and inserts in One and One are a lot more fun to collect. What say the brain pool?

Do you think RPAs from One and One will ever hold the distinction of a National Treasures RPA?

I love One & One but it'll always be NT.

That doesn't mean One & One cards aren't nice but NT will remain GOAT.

I don't even see how you compare these two.

One and One has great base cards and parallels, NT is all about the RPA and Logomen.

How would a base rookie take over the hobby's flagship RPA?

One and One has similar RPA’s. Including true vertical RPAs. They just don’t have Logomen. They have laundry tags, which.. 👎🏻

The NT RPA is going to be hard to top.

One and One is a nicer product overall though.

I agree with this…I don’t love NT and it’s terrible value for the price. one and one is probably a lot better from a value standpoint but it would need some sort of chase RC or insert to compete with NT rpa’s.

Not similar in the fact that they are inserts and not rookie cards that are part of the main set.

I've actually been able to find 3 RPA insert sets. Not at all the same.

No, the one and one rpa patch windows are too small and nobody likes multiple patch windows.

I always thought NT and Flawless were too vanilla.

Like that One and One introduces a dash of Ebony to mix things up

I love One & One but RPAs have been the standard for two decades. Tough to see that changing and I say that as someone with a few One & One Golds.

A more relevant discussion would be where One and One Golds and Blacks rank compared to Prizm/Select/Optic/Mosaic/All the other Golds/10 (or 1/1s).

It may very well be slotted behind Prizm and in from of Optic, and definitely above Select and Mosaic for me.

I have one of my PC and it's probably my second favorite card of his behind the Prizm Nebula.

Yeah, that's the better discussion. It would probably take a big "influencer" to push O&O above Prizm Golds/Blacks just because of the legacy factor.

The design of O&O is much better since it came out though.

This ^^^

What a joke. You seldom even hear collectors talking about One and One. Most of these brands will fall out of the collector consciousness over time. The only ones sure to be remembered are Prizm, NT, Flawless ——— then maybe a few others like Select and Immac. But one and one? No and no.

I actually know a few big time collectors (not investors) who collect the One and One Base/Gold/Black, including myself.

The inserts? Not so much.

Even then, it would just be a quick pump and dump.

I do feel that the base (and it's parallels) will be collectable the way that 00's Exquisite base is, the way that Galactics are, the way that Gala base are.

Something doesn't have to be the #1 chase of the generation to still be collectable (think PMGs vs other great 90s cards like Rubies, Credentials, etc.)

This thread should've been titled EXQUISITE vs. NT !!! That's a much better match-up!

I think that's pretty much been established.

NT has carried the torch where Exquisite left off.

You can't have a discussion of whether you'd like to have a LeBron/Giannis/Luka/Zion Exquisite or NT because there is no choice.

That would be just as lopsided. NT is way better than one and one but NOTHING comes close to Exquisite.

What are Curry and Giannis Exquisites going for these days compared to their NT's?
