Florio did a great breakdown of this cluster-F with Rich Eisen last week. The Raiders brass are pretty unhappy with Jimmy and his agent.

Even if Jim plays, he won't last long before being injured again. Hoyer will play until O'Connell has enough of the offense down. He's a statue in the pocket, but at least he's smart. He should pick up the basics reasonably quick.

I'd rather just show Jim the door now and eliminate the distraction.

The rest of the Raiders roster is too strong to tank properly.

They'll end up in a similar drafting position as this year if anything. Not high enough to get a top QB prospect without trading up. They'll be stuck on the free agent carousel for a while.

i'm going to second this call right here by the Raiders not keeping Stidham, he played pretty decenty and was good enough to keep them afloat for a season.

that being said, i think Jimmy will be fine. in case he doesn't make the team because of the injury, i think the Raiders make a move for a vet like Wentz or Bridgewater. i doubt they make a move for Trey, especially with the next QB class coming in.
