Default Jack Hughes Value Question. Arguably his best card in existence inside….Exquisite

Hi all, recently acquired this beautiful piece and am having trouble putting a value on it. Is this Jack’s best piece? His best card I can find currently is his Cup RPa 3 color /99 bgs 8.5/10 that did $6k UsD. I had Dylan cozens exquisite shield and sold for $8.5k usd but his rpa /99 is $1k. I don’t expect the same multiplier on hughes because a larger card but really not sure what to expect. Is this his only shield from cup? thanks in advance. Rob

What an amazing card! I just quickly sorted on card ladder and the most expensive Jack Hughes card that has ever sold publicly is $8.5K on April 26th (his Cup RPA BGS 9). Not sure on pricing with your card but would have to think $20K+ wouldn't be out of the question.

That is an amazing card. Kudos. Having said that, in the valuation world, I would assume most buyers would technically value his Ultimate Collection Shield Auto more than the Exquisite ones. There is usually only 2 shield autos these days for a rookie with UC and Exquisite. But this past Cup release had a horizontal Exquisite with shield 1/1 and the base RPA also had a Black Foil 1/1 Shield Auto. So that's a rougher sign of things to come when as to the hallowed ground of Rookie Shield Sigs.

Jack is safe in the past with no more than 2. Value is incredibly difficult to gauge. The guy who has the UC one may really want that one too so hence a big sale price in theory. In today's world, I will echo the 20k possibility above.

Monster card! You might get the multiplier you hoped for. I would keep tabs on the Cale Makar Shield. Its up on PWCC $200k OBO.

It would be fun to take it to the Toronto Expo in the fall and offer it to the high-end dealers. I'd bet you'd get quite a range of outcomes - you can let all the rest of us know who try to take advantage of you!
