Cardporn and BGS Scandal Brewing?

Did anyone watch @thepryancollection's convo with Darren Rovell last night on Insta? Rovell said he is dropping something big on the relationship between Juan Garcia (cardporn) and BGS in the next couple days.

What do you guys think could be coming? Will Rovell finally put BGS out of its misery?

BGS makes payroll by shady backdoor deals just like PSA made payroll by negotiating massive submission deals with card trimmers that incentivized giving out 10s and SGC made payroll by grading their CEO’s trimmed cards. I’m sure it’s nothing we haven’t seen before.

A massive IG account that recently went dark because he faked an MJ game used jersey. He proclaimed he was the hobby watch dog but more stuff coming out now to show he was massive scammer. Jordan jersey is probably tip of the iceberg.

Given the scale of MJ deception it would seem quite logical that this was not his first go around. I have a hard time believing one of the largest hobby watchdog accounts would suddenly just jump to that. Even Walter White started with a small batch.

Let's take it easy on him. Someone with the name porn their Instagram name might have a real porn addiction and that gets expensive. It is hard to make money in cards right now. To pay the porn bills and also feed the kids/pets is expensive right now. Sometimes scamming is ok, just ask Blake Martinez. How else can you pay the mortgage on a mansion with Pokemon cards?

Goldin appears to have deleted the "cardporn collection" category but the majority of what they sold in December was Beckett authenticated, with a couple items having multiple LOA's.

Everyone could still post here. Nobody told them they can't post on IG/Twitter and here.

I'm not sure why everyone abandoned the forum when it's much easier to collaborate as a community and keep records on here. I feel like forums should be gathering points or hubs while IG/Twitter can be for more direct conversations. It's too fragmented on the modern social media spaces compared to here.

Although, the search function on here is garbage and the overall site functionality is pitifully dated.

I’ve found about 10-15 websites/companies/trademarks/etc. and none of them have involved actual pornography (yet).

And as I posted that, it looks like many of these websites are going offline.

Very true, unfortunately the snakes have followers on social media who will defend them. Remember the platinum breaks chaos? There are way worse breakers out there that just haven’t been exposed yet. It’s unfortunate that our kids look up to these people
