Barf.....just what the hobby needs...another high-end parallel of the flagship design that nobody other than breakers/gamblers will want....

Gilded was released last year and received a pretty good reception.

All wax is designed with breakers in mind now, so that part is not relevant.

Not true, this stuff is popular. Gilded resale value is pretty high

Yeah this was actually a nice surprise last year.
This set looked a lot better with the 2022 full border design. The headshot is distracting.

I feel the same way with this year's sapphire release (not that I've seen any in person). I like the design on base flagship, though.

Especially when that headshot makes the player look like a walrus, LOL.

Looks weak compared to 2022 version. Hard to tell with the sample pics, but they don't look "embossed" around the player, with the separation of the player and the background.

Pretty cards. I'm guessing it will be priced too high this year as last year's is still selling in the $600-$800 range. I stayed away last year as I thought it was too expensive and likely will stay away again, but I'll happily buy some nice autos after a month or so.

It's a product built for breakers, and that's not a bad thing. The products designed to appeal to breakers normally succeed and it means reasonably priced singles as the product gets broken and singles hit the market. Much better than the products that can't figure out their audience (Sapphire, Heritage).

much like most things in Topps' history, the second year of release will be run into the ground

this release will be no different.

2022 was a gift for singles buyers, especially those that collect the legends of the game

Yeah, the price point is too high for my blood. I'm sure it will be marked up quite a bit from last year too so be prepared for that.

Agree, the print run will be higher and they will price it at $700+ right off the bat

This was a great product for singles and HOF autos in particular.

IMO, they should have kept the gilded design from last year, like they do with Sapphire.

This should be an alternate year set. Spice it up a little. Create real demand.

By next year we’ll have three Gilded sets and nobody will give a damn.

More whining from people who were never going to spend a cent on this regardless

Y’all really are a miserable lot. Yeah it’s a dumb parallel set but a lot of people enjoy it and they look cool. Isn’t that enough? Or all you care about is your previous “values”
