Default Cramer’s Choice: Memoir of a Baseball Card Collector Turned Manufacturer

Was listening to Dr. James Beckett podcast this week. He had an interview with Mike Cramer. It made me order the book. I hope to get it next week. Sound fascinating. A crab fisherman, who love cards, and start his own company. If you love cards, this would be a book for you.

I pre ordered it and received it last week. I haven't had time to read it yet, but looking forward to it. He signed and inscribed the book to me. Loved me some Pacific cards back in the late 90's, early 2000's!

He also had baseball card shop before he became card manufacturer. I had couple items that I ordered from his store...

This is a great card of him from 1975!

If I remember correctly, he took a bunch of the photos for minor league sets in the 70's before he ventured to do his own

Will definitely be ordering the book. Pacific football cards from the mid-to-late 90s are among my favorites.

Default Cramer’s Choice: Memoir of a Baseball Card Collector Turned Manufacturer

He stoked my love of RC parallels with some of the late 90s and early 2000s football sets. I hit a game day parallel of Edgerrin from some packs of Paramount when I first moved to LV back in 2000 at Casey’s on Trop/Pecos.

Pacific was my favorite manufacturer, so I had to buy the book. I bought it from his website, as it's my understanding that he will sign it.

Link? Are you saying Cramer has a website, or you bought it from Beckett's? I'm interested in this as well and would love to see a signed copy.

When I was 10, me and my cousin would go there to the store. You could also do mail order and order any complete set.
The place was so cool. When I started collecting hockey in 1988, you could go an go through vend cases. I remember looking through 1979 OPC and their box had 20 of every card.
When they moved to a new store and started making cards, I went in and they had Desert Shield cards...... but they had the GOLD chase cards in the display case.
Was hard to believe someone pulled it and sold if back to them for them to put out.
It became a conflict of interest and local people believed they printed them, then put them out for sale.
SHADY

It is my understanding that Cramer has his own website, and he emailed me the tracking number after I bought it.

Pacific made a ton of great sets and they don't get the love as the bigger company's. Cramer's Choice are right at the top of my all time favorite 90's sets. Look forward to the read.

Got mine in today. It was sealed in plastic, so that was surprising. But when I opened the book, it was signed, inscribed, and dated! Shoulda know that Mike of all people would know how to shrink wrap something.

Got about 30 pages in last night. I wish I'd had the kind of drive Mike had as a kid.
