8x 2023/24 NBA Hoops Blasters - Detailed Breakdown

My Walmart got a massive restock today including 20+ Hoops blasters. I wasn't planning on getting any Hoops this early but I figured I'd give it a shot & chase some retail Wemby due to the lack of notable rookie autos in hobby vs current prices.

First impressions:
- Cards look and feel nice with some excellent photography (e.g McClung in the Slam Dunk contest) and the inserts look better this year IMO. There are also lots of updated photos for players who changed teams, including actual preseason photoshoots of guys like Brad Beal in their new uniforms.
- The checklist, as usual, is massive and even with top rookies featuring in the Tribute subset, it will be hard to pull any specific cards unless you're busting in quantity.
- The print run on this must be crazy. I only pulled 3 holo inserts, none of the base Impulse parallels or any #ed Reds.

Wemby Hunt:
- 2 of my blasters had double Wembys (one base, one Tribute), 1 blaster had a Wemby Rookie Greetings, and 5 blasters were Wemby-less. Not sure if all Wemby's will fall like this but I saw some other very distinct collation runs.

Best other pulls:
- Lively, Buffin, & Hood-Schifino Rise N Shine & Mathurin Rookie Remembrance napkin jerseys
- Jaime Jaquez Blue RC
- Taylor Hendricks Rookie Greetings Holo RC
- Kris Murray Purple RC
- Brandon Miller Blue Tribute RC
- Anthony Black, Leonard Miller, & Noah Clowney Blue RCs
- Embiid Dynamos Holo & Jokic Skyview Holo
- 3-5 of most top rookies between their base, inserts, and parallels
- Lots of vet purple (more rare) and blues including Lebron blue, KG purple, and Jamal Murray purple

I'll list what I can tonight and hope some BINs are hit but I'm probably taking a pretty decent L even though it was pretty fun.

Sounds like a pretty good rip overall.

Not sure if their deal ended or they ran out of suitable covers but I really wish they still had the Slam inserts. They were some of my favorite inserts and a really good chase for retail that added value especially if you hit a holo of a good name

In most blasters, the two wemby RC cards fall together. I did not hit but one RC parallel, Jett Howard purple and no numbered cards in 5 blasters.
