My 2024 rooting is simple:

I want a former PAC12 team to win the B1G 10 and the BigXII and I want a former BigXII team to win the SEC.

It’s going to be so wild when Ohio State and Michigan play in back to back weeks… and both still make the 12

2024 and beyond isn’t going to be my thing. I’m old and don’t like change

I am not fan of either of those teams. The one good thing about the game is that it eliminated one from the tournament. Most years that end of year game won't mean much of anything.

I am with you. College football has almost gone full minor league NFL. Paid players (NIL), free agency (Portal), now 30% teams make playoffs. We are also getting to just having two divisions with conferences in it. The next and final step is for the 30 power teams to break off and be there own league and only be affiliated with the university as name only.

I’ll be serious for once, good to have you back. We all live life through different view points. I try to take positives from every member while critiquing the stance on the negatives. It’s good to have long time members stay active. Each thread has its own unique response, sometimes we agree and others not so much. Great to have you back !

Do I foresee a undefeated BIG going into the Conference Championship next season, definitely not. - Washington, USC and Oregon lose stud quarterbacks. Michigan loses multiple great linemen / RB’s on both sides with the toughest schedule. OSU loses what may turn into the greatest wide receiver in BIG history and I’m a massive fan of the Carters’ - Anthony and Cris ! PSU could be the team to beat if they realize that they need powerful D’linemen and not just speed rushers. Iowa, Wisconsin and UCLA, will be in bowls but nothing major. Nebraska - I really thought they would be ahead of PSU but have been the team that will be in a fight for a winning season. The others - it’s only going to be that much tougher next season because each of the additions have great foundations of success.

I'm a bit concerned that the 12-team playoff is going to deflate the regular season on par with how the 4-team CFP obliterated bowl season. Not right away, but in a couple years it's going to be stinko, I'm afraid.
