Just about every member of the 2010 All-Decade Team were drafted by the decade's third year (Zack Martin and Aaron Donald being the exceptions drafted in the fourth year).
So that means that between current players and the upcoming draft class, every member of the eventual 2020 All-Decade Team should be somewhere on our radar. So who will it be? Also, "hello" to everyone logging in from the nuclear wasteland of 2031 checking in to see who got their picks right.
I hope this thread provides a brief moment of happiness in the midst of a dying world. We really didn't know how good we had it in 2023. |

in 2023? No idea. I was going to try the whole list but some guys on the list won't have been drafted yet.
Mahomes. Tyreek? I'd say McCaffrey and Henry at RB, but they are probably both getting "old" at their position already. Justin Tucker, Koo. Donald, Parsons, Bosa, Warner, Garrett, Watt. Maybe Jessie Bates, Minkah? Sauce, Surtain if they can keep it going? Andy Reid. DM me in 2025.

That means that likely every member of the 2020s team is either in the league or on the draft board right now. |

A third of the decade. Unlike baseball, players especially quarterbacks and kickers are extremely critiqued when the stakes are raised. With only 3 post seasons I couldn’t place any player at the 1. Slot but I would definately place #2. with the opportunity to rise up in the upcoming years. QB #2. Mahomes, WR #2. Jefferson “if healthy” #3. Hill “if he doesn’t retire till 24” - would be great to have 5 dominant seasons. TE #2. T. Kelce will 3 dominant seasons and whatever he can muster this season with at least 2 more ? DE #2. D. Hunter or TJ Watt but he is being nicked up, 3. Hutch and Josh Allen have skills but are doubled and tripled. Safety 2. Daron Bland, 1 good year, 1 tremendous season. LB #2. Fred Warner has nearly 4 great seasons already but the position is tough on the body. 3. Parsons but he seems to ghost out in many games costing him stats. RB 3. D. Henry, was the best for the first 3 seasons, but is aging. Center 2. J. Kelce, the best at position for 4 seasons but will retire soon. The DE’s are about the only position I would call out 4 players and at least 3 will remain strong candidates.

I too think we haven't met all the eventual All-Decades players, most likely the specialists and 1-2 running backs. The order of players isn't necessarily best to worst, but the ones near the top of positions I'm more confident in. I think there may be a few guess who are members of both the 2010s and 2020s teams, notably Hill, Martin, and Mack who only need 1-2 more AP 1st Teams imo.
Only one of my selections was unserious, can you guess which one? I'd put MHJ, Alt, and maybe Bowers as the most likely All-Decade candidates sitting in the 2024 draft class.

The decades not even half-way complete. At the same point, Purdy's only played 1.5 seasons but really, not even that. Mahomes has played 2020, 2021,2022 and 2023. He's won 1 SB, 1 NFL MVP, 3 PB's and 1 1st Team AP. So it's not hate, its a career thing. This is coming from a Niner's fan.

I like the kid. He is making smart decisions and the more I see him the more I am starting to believe he's a legitimate star in the making. Where I do hesitate to get too excited for him is how perfect the situation is that he's in with the Niners. He has the best RB in the league, an all-world WR and TE combo, awesome offensive line, and an incredible defense. It's very comfy being the Niners QB. The last time he faced real adversity, the game against the Browns, he struggled. I'm very curious to see how he does when he doesn't have all of the weapons and protections that he has around him. Most quarterbacks don't have those luxuries.

These All-World Defenders will be on it:
Aaron Donald TJ Watt Nick Bosa Myles Garrett Micah Parsons The following defenders have the resume now but will have to perform at a high level until 2025/2026 at the least. That's not guaranteed. Minkah Fitzpatrick Derwin James Fred Warner Roquan Smith Sauce Gardner OFFENSE: (Will probably see the RB position downgraded to three spots and added to the WR or TE spots) QB Patrick Mahomes QB OPEN RB Derrick Henry RB Christian McCaffrey RB OPEN WR Tyreek Hill WR Justin Jefferson WR Jamarr Chase WR OPEN WR OPEN FLEX OPEN TE Travis Kelce TE George Kittle

However, I doubt he sniffs the all decade team. Unfortunately his career fell right in the middle of both decades. 2020-2023 stats Lamb- 395 rec, 5145 yards, 32 TDS Evans- 300 rec, 4420 yards, 46 TDs Lamb already has the edge and he’s got 5+ years of prime left. |

Shocked to not see Winfield Jr on any lists. PFF #1 ranked safety in 2023, among other accolades. 2020 career start, perfect timing for an all decade team.
