Do people think fanatics will reach a deal with Jordan and/or Upper deck, so we can finally get some NBA official Jordan cards in future releases?

I would swear I’ve read somewhere that he has an ownership stake in upper deck, but I may have dreamt it. If it were to happen, I think it would have to be the other way…instead of Jordan signing with fanatics, fanatics would have to buy upper deck.

Yes, he does have an ownership stake with upper deck.

Not sure why people are saying it would hurt his legacy. It would be nice to get some modern base + inserts of Jordan while keeping his # of autos very, very low.

On a side note, my curiosity has been piqued by this gimmicky release. Is anybody, on board for it....?? Any realistic....prospective value, here? Or is it a hard pass? TIA.

Without seeing more, I'm passing. Maybe some of the inscriptions will be cool, but who knows what the odds are of pulling an MJ or LeBron?

And the ad with the guy in white spandex looks weird.

Thanks for the input. Admittedly,...I was leaning towards, a PASS,...but was curiously drawn-in by the "gimmicky" aspect of it.

Regarding the spandex chap, I was basically of the same thinking!

Perhaps, some bloke from the mail room, and management approached and said; "hey....wanna' make an extra fifty bucks, ya' lil' minion...?!?"

there's a checklist, but I assume that it isn't equal distribution. Like there's probably just one or two MJ or LeBrons in there, but the rest is just a way for them to move stale inventory. Most of the guys on the checklist are readily available on their website (including Wemby), and I sure as hell don't want to risk dropping $450 on a signed Gordon Hayward Swingman.

oh, and yeah the spandex guy is super weird.

I collect signed jerseys, so I put myself down for 3 just because it looks like fun and the checklist is pretty good.
