Default Josh Allen XRC gold - expired redemption advice

Ok guys, last night I won a box of select hobby 2017 football.i gambled and elected to rip.

Hit an expired redemption for Josh Allen XRC gold rc card. Gold is numbered to 10. The bay has a psa 9 sold for $6500. The 1/1 is going for over 125k

I have not submitted to Panini yet as I am waiting for the mail delivery, prob by Friday latest.

Xrc is a non auto card. Anyone think Panini might have it still in inventory? If i get my hands on the card, a psa 10 should go for 10k +. Psa 9 $6500 existing value.

What is best way to approach panini?. Starts by submitting on their site and wait for their reply?

Any advice appreciated.

I understand they may offer alternative, but I am hoping this non auto card may still be in their inventory

You're probably screwed. If you want the card bad enough, maybe buy a ticket to the National and present the expired redemption to a Panini rep there and see if they can help, although odds are, your XRC was probably back doored and found its way into a National VIP grab bag.

If i submit to panini online via redemptions, does that work against me?

What is the point of your reply? Is my lack of posting relevant? What are you suggesting?

I would say they are going to give you a replacement, which is pretty much your only option

Also that 1/1 sale is probably more than it is currently worth

There isn’t a point to it.

Seems like a logical result. Converted to a white box '1 of 1'?

Are white 1 of 1's true 1 of 1's?

I would NOT enter that online as you're liable to get 150 points for it. Call and talk to someone, if you can't work something out, take it to the National and try in person.

Thanks for everyone who's been giving constructive advice.
Much appreciated. These are unknown waters I'm trying to navigate and your experiences are very helpful. I'm not sure exactly what I'll do but I think it's going to start with a call to panini. I also may try to use their professional network to find the rep in my area and make contact

White Box 1/1s are such a giant scam. Probably criminal if someone with a litigious mind were to look deep into them.

Bumping to see if OP got resolution?

Nothing near as big but I recently made the mistake of opening a 21 Elite FOTL. A bunch of garbage, except for the expired Redemption I pulled (Devonta Smith Pen Pals Black Gold Ink). Not a monster card by any means but would guess Panini still is sitting on some? Did the phone calls do the trick?

No resolution. My intention was to go to the 2024 card show in Cleveland and talk with a Panini rep. I didn't go and still have the unscratched redemption card.

Anti-climactic I know. I don't frequent card shows but it's back on the radar for 2025.

The thing that really irked me in this experience, so far, was a Panini phone rep suggesting they would give me a sparkle pack if I scratched it off and gave them the code. Same rep also suggested last sale was $100 from CLadder.

Just not a good experience so far. My other thought is to find someone with close ties to Panini to negotiate a proper resolution. For example, person X knows Panini, explains the situation and locks down a reasonable comp for the redemption. Keyword is "locks down". With an iron clad lock down in place, person x could either buy the card from me prior to redemption or we agree on some sort of sharing of the resulting card from Panini.

That's how the regular business world might go, but I am on the outside looking in and my vision is probably the stuff of fantasy.

Not giving up, but also not much hope either.

Yes, this is the way.

My prediction is maybe a thousand or two points. GL

If anyone is feeling generous in sharing a good contact email at Panini, pls pm me. This hobby is expensive and a hit like this is a lifetime experience for a superstar player. I would love to see this through with something more than a pit in my stomach.
