Default COMC Shipping

I haven't purchased from COMC since early 2020. Started the checkout process this morning for 8 cards and it said they would arrive on April 6th. Is their shipping process now taking almost 2 months? Has anything changed or has then been the usual since my last purchase?

Last time I ordered it appeared to be the same, but I feel like there was an "expedited shipping" for about 3.99? Took like a week to get my order (about 10 cards). Maybe check for that?

It seems the different combo of cards can affect shipping times as some orders I just get within 2 weeks no problem, no extra fee.

I'm sure someone else with more experience has a better answer.

Since Dec/Jan, they have been majorly behind with economy shipments. There is a thread about it down in the Ebay/COMC section of the forum.

I ordered one back in Dec. Original estimated ship date was Jan 31. That has now been pushed back into March.

I suspect it's a combination of not enough workers and because they are overswamped due to all these promotions they are constantly advertising on their banners and in emails: ebay promotions, grading submissions, event auctions etc. In some cases even extending the promotions, despite clearly not able to handle a basic thing like shipping orders to customers in a timely fashion.

If it's just 8 cards, it makes a lot more sense to just use Economy Rushed, it'll get there much faster, probably within a couple weeks. And the price wont be that much difference.

It's when it's large 100+ card orders, you basically have to do economy shipping or it can be like $100 or more for just the shipping.

Their shipping estimates are poop fantasy
I’m probably done with comc going forward after having a 50 card order pushed from late Jan expected to currently Mar 4th “expected” ship date. Timing means a decent amount for me.
Juice just ain’t worth the squeeze

Im in a similar situation. And Im taking even the early march with a grain of salt.

The thing is the # of items ahead in the order, in my case >200,000 is barely changing day to day. That means 'new' shipments are constantly getting in the way. By new shipments I mean ebay shipments and economy rushed shipments which apparently have utter priority. The ebay I can understand, since COMC basically has to conform to ebay shipping, has to get it out in a few days, and cant just push that back a month. But the economy rushed given absolute priority with seemingly little to no extra delays is their decision. Just a bad way to run things.

I guess I got luck then. I requested shipment, my first in years from COMC, on November 25 for a 65 card shipment and received the order in less than 5 weeks, before the estimated date.

It was after that date they got delayed. They are now taking about two months but I suspect at least modest improvement once they clear out everything from the eBay promo. I've heard that was up to a few thousand cards per day which would translate to 90k in a month.

I bought one card from COMC off Ebay a couple of years ago and it took over a month. The shipping obvously didn't take that long, it took them over a month to actually ship the card and then it arrived a few days later. After that I just don't buy anything from COMC. I find their prices are usually more then what I can get them from on ebay or somewhere else anyway.

I bought a card from them 2 weeks ago. It took them a week to just print a shipping label and I still haven't received the card. It'll probably be another week before I get it.

Wow. I had no idea their orders took so long. I'd been thinking about using them to piece together some sets, but those delays would drive me crazy.

I messed up and picked the slowest/cheapest method back on "12/16/2023"
now they say my order should be expected by next week but i doubt it with "86,662" people in front of me in line waiting...meanwhile i bought a card from the ebay they run and it came super quick. within 7 days, feel like they put ebay first over the main site

feel like they should have the option to pay extra for shipping if you are waiting too long to bump you ahead of the line..would probably make a killing but would probably need to hire more workers

COMC still running on covid time. If you want it expedited the price gets extremely ridiculous.

I’m just over her trying to squeeze a free 8pc supermarket fried chicken out of a few cards and they’re killing me with the super slow shipping (with delays)

Glad I’m not alone, placed my first order with them early January and was wondering what kind of operation this is. Site is showing only 250,000 items ahead of my order…

This delay is more specific to orders placed on their site? I've only bought from their eBay store and have not had any delivery delays. Did an order early January for 10 different singles and package arrived 5 business days after paying. For me the 5 business days was a reasonable wait.

ebay is always fast shipping since they need to be shipped within a few days. The issue is economy shipping from their site which used to be 3-4 weeks, but with all the specials they are continually doing has been extended to 2-3 months. regular shipping on their site seems to be taking a week or so.

Ah...thanks for the clarification. Are the prices in their ebay store the same for the same card listed in their own site? Or do they factor in ebay selling fees so the items listed on their eBay store is a certain percentage higher?

Going to start charging COMC a quarter a day renter’s fee every day I’m waiting for my cards to ship

prices on ebay are higher to make up for the fees, its cheaper to buy items directly on their site. Probably the best way at the moment, is to buy a few items and then pony up for the expedited shipping.

That would be sad to see a hobby participant such as yourself turn a profit.
