Default Ohtani Guilt-O-Meter

You think he’s involved in sports betting or no? Just a mistake? Just trying to be helpful?

Hell no!

I'm calling it now: Ohtani is as pure and innocent as new-fallen snow.

No crime will be found. No punishment will be meted out.

I’m going to start a poll inquiring if BO should start banning the off-topic trolls.

Are you asking if he TRULY did bet on sports or if he is ever going to ADMIT that he bet on sports.

Big difference there.

I voted no. I like the whole innocent until proven guilty thing. Could he be guilty? Oh yeah. Is there any sort of evidence that we have as the public to prove even an ounce of guilt? No. All based on speculation and it's pretty tiring hearing people go on about it. I was at a draft this weekend (no ill will against the folks there, had a fantastic time) but sheeeeeesh was a tired of hearing the Ohtani stories. We know NOTHING. Again, definitely possible but until we have evidence I don't get the vilinizing of Ohtani. Seems like people are jealous of him and just want to watch the mighty fall.

Who cares if he bet on sports? Poll should be "Did he bet on baseball games"

Exactly. I love all this pearl clutching from people who most likely have office NCAA bracket pools going.

I've said it from the beginning that I just think he helped out his friend pay off his own debts.

No idea, but I find it hard to believe that some sports book let some guy making around $300K a year as an interpreter, continue to make bets and get himself in the hole for 4.5 million dollars. I would think any sports book would have nipped that long before getting that deep in the debt.

Thought part of the issue was the betting taking place in California where it’s illegal?

Millions of dollars were transferred from his account to an illegal bookie. That is significant evidence!!! People have been convicted for much less. Is he guilty? Who knows. But the most likely scenario is that these are Ohtanis debts.

After watching this press conference TOTALLY EXONORATED! Anyone who thinks otherwise is on a WITCH HUNT, the biggest ever in MLB, perhaps in all sports history. Sad!

Seems this way. Probably too trusting of others

Ohtani is simply a liar

I don’t really care, especially if he didn’t gamble on baseball, but he’s definitely not telling the truth

Or he’s the biggest moron on planet earth

I think it’s pretty obvious Ohtani was gambling on baseball

Foreign players should be allowed to follow the laws of their home country.

The poll is closer than I thought so far. Honestly thought more would say no

Whole lotta haters who are repelled by the cherubic light which emanates from Ohtani's visage.
