I just had a submission where all cards came from the same collection I've been getting authenticated. About 80% have come through as authentic and a few haven't for various reasons. There are a few I know are authentic, but got denied by PSA/DNA and a few from BAS.
It usually takes both above their 45 days and I've found it to be mostly accurate (they denied one I found was autopen and they deny ones with smudges, etc). Anyway, I crossed a few of my denied PSA/DNA to BAS and they were rejected as not authentic within 5 days of being received. Every other order with no crossovers has taken months. Has anyone had success crossing over denied (authentic) cards from one company to the other? I am wondering if they invisibly mark items they deny or something like that to expedite re-submitted items? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Yeah, you can resubmit. Depends who looks at them. They are usually pretty accurate but sometimes resubbing works. Beckett is better at some sigs than PSA, and vice versa...same with JSA. If they are baseball autos send me pics on PM and I can take a look too.

The ones I thought may shoot back because of the lower quality pens came back authentic. I REALLY wanted one slabbed as it would have been a somewhat sentimental PC item (Paul Newman) and it was not slabbed. Also, there were about 6 Hulk Hogan autos and two already came back authentic and one from this submission got denied. Very confusing as they were all pretty clearly signed during the same sitting. There are also about the same amount of Ric Flairs and they all came back legit. Last edited by xposipx; 03-26-2024 at 09:51 PM. |

Here are the denials:

I think the ink was the reason the Hulk and Hank were not authenticated. The Frank Oz baffles me and the Chris Evans is from VERY early in his career and there's no examples of him signing that way, so I understand. For reference, there were authenticated and acquired from the same agent: IMG_1146 by xposipx, on FlickrThe Samuel L Jacksons admittedly look somewhat off, the Dusty Rhodes is slightly smudged, and I guess the Paul Newman and Benoit could be autopenned? The Matthew Broderick also is just different than his normal sig, but fairly certain it's authentic. Would love some feedback from your experiences. May wait and send to JSA/CSG when that partnership is ready to roll. Also of note: they authenticated another 28 cards from this submission. I've just never had this many denied before. |

I've had cards that I personally sent in to paid private signings, with dealers that I 100% trust, rejected by PSA when the auto is even slightly off.
For example 8 cards from the same athlete, from the same signing, and PSA rejected 1... which is totally ridiculous. I sent to Beckett and it passed, AS IT SHOULD HAVE. Personally I trust BAS (Beckett) and their auto authentication more then PSA's. I only send to PSA cause that's what people want to buy right now. |
