New Rookies in 23-24 UD Synergy?

Every Year UD Synergy is probably one of the most overlooked products..
way too many inserts that have no value... too few cards in a box for the money and most of them are too high numbered..inserts.
many other reasons to meh Synergy.

Bedard is in it this year... getting a low number rookie of him is good from any set..

the rookies in 23-24 are well known from all the sets that have come out this far and the last of them(this years RC players) are coming in Extended in a couple of weeks.

Typically UD holds out some late season entering into the league rookies for inclusion in next years 24-25 MVP, series 1 and so on..

Did UD mess up this year...?? with Synergy
They included Logan Stankoven and Mavrik Bourque (both with Dallas) as very limited SP rookies ONLY in Synergy(so far) and not in the coming Extended set
or any other sets

people do know about this as these auctions are getting a lot of views..

these 2 guys would be Bigger Young Guns assuming that they will be in next years (24-25) UD sets..

one opinion is that UD did this on purpose to create interest in Synergy this year.. and will call these XRCs .. with next years cards being the RCs...

They could be SP but honestly no offense if those are the guys they put in expecting to build interest they picked the wrong guys.

so who would have been the better guys in your opinion ..who played this past season?
both do have good hobby upside..Stankoven the better one.

They also have Sebastian Cossa from the Red Wings, and he has an R-SC, Cranked Up, and Light Up the Night cards. He has yet to play a game for the Red Wings, and I'm not seeing if he was ever called up to play back up even.

I did some more searching on Ebay and found another one
Noel Gunler - Carolina Prospect - never been called up to the NHL
has a Light up the Night.. and a Cranked Up

The rule has always been that a player must play a game before he can have an NHL Card..
UD has now added AHL players in NHL uniforms to Synergy....
not sure if this has ever happened before...??
does this take away from them being in future years sets as RCs when they do come into the league....? prob not

Its probably from a preseason game....
most prospects play in preseason and they wear the main team unis..
but those dont count towards officlal regular season games for purposes of getting on a card.
At least thats how its always been.
if anything changes then it will be the wild west with UD making all kind of rookies of guys who will never make the NHL like Bowman/Topps does for baseball prospect sets.

Noel Gunler has cards and he played in the AHL in 22/23, Played in Sweden in 23/24 and never played in the NHL ever, has Synergy cards lol
