2024 US Presidential Election Cards

This thread is to post information and/or scans related to cards being produced commemorating the 2024 US Presidential election.

I’ll start off by saying we need to remember the forums rules of *no politics*. However, every 4 years, the hobby frequently sees new sets for that years elections and they can often times be pretty cool and historic. So I think there is room to talk about sets in the generic sense and post images/links of pulls and set announcements.

Four years ago at this time we were midway through the 2020 Upper Deck Presidential Weekly set and there were multiple cards dedicated to the primaries in previous years (eg Topps Now). However, this year… so far at least.. there seems to be a lack of cards.

With people still talking about the first debate 2 weeks later, I’m hoping we get some 2024 cards soon.

I know we had a 2020 Presidential Weekly thread while that set was going on. I was going to post a link to prove a thread could be done civilly. However, the fact I can no longer find that thread means it probably DID go off the rails and might have been deleted.

Hopefully this thread can continue and just focus on actual cards as they are released and not get into political toxicity.

A GPK artist said on FB this week that they haven't painted any political cards this year, so doubtful they'll be doing anything.

Maybe if they combined them with Benchwarmers usual swill and had the subjects dressed in skimpy outfits wearing way too much makeup, the set might be good for a laugh, but since they didn't do that, that's 99 cases too many.

I wonder if they argued over which way up on the American flag cards.

But, seriously, most of them look pretty nice, with the exception of those ultra cheapo plastic "gem" cards. There aren't enough non-sports cards being made generally speaking, so this is something at least. With the limited print run, I imagine this will sell through pretty quickly.

No offense to anyone buying this, but this has to be one of the dumbest sets I've seen released since some of the Gary Vee trash.

Agree, it could be argued nonsports could use more general sets, when so much is either Marvel and SW (ok and movie sets).

I can see it doing ok…would have been nice to see on card autos vs cuts but I’m sure it’s hard to get that. The cropping of those cut autos leaves something to be desired, looks like some are either going off the card, or half off the card.

Political cut sigs tend to come from books, so they're usually a little larger, and generally speaking, too large to fit into standard trading size cut frames. That said, those ones shown look pretty good. Kudos to the press secretaries, etc., who actually signed them.

They had numerous Scott Walker (former Governor of Wisconsin) cuts in a previous Decision set that were just jaw-droppingly bad to the point where it's hard to believe they made it into the product, particularly as a premium hit.



And to Dyna's point, I've never understood with the cuts, why one cut is OK, but two cuts is apparently too many.
Look at this Sheriff David Clarke signature cut.



Why not just cut it again between Sheriff and Clarke and stack the two pieces vertically within the cut window?

It was apparently released in May and is still available. It seems to have slipped under the radar.
