I typically steer clear of raw vintage unless it's $50 or less because I don't have the trained eye yet to identify fakes. I was watching a couple 1954 Topps listings that looked good but I pretty quickly got scared away for the following reasons.
1. The edge of the cards aren't flat/even. Top of Duke and right side of Eddie. 2. A weird blue line along the edges. This makes me wonder if they aren't 1954 Topps SI copies? Hoping to gain insights here. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1954-Topps-....m43663.l10137 https://www.ebay.com/itm/1954-Topps-....m43663.l10137 |

Looks like every card of that seller had blue lines drawn in for someone to trim with scissors. Block that seller and do not buy those cards. They are most likely real and trimmed. Every single card they have.

Thanks, Dan! They appear to be very bad at trimming. Glad my instincts were right. I still worry about the more subtle signs of tomfoolery I might miss.
