I am going to attempt to use a 17 yr old Gift Card today

I have a Pizza Hut gift card from 2007. Doesn't expire and there are no fees or anything. Theoretically it should work, right? If Pizza Hut comes through after 17 years that would be huge. I also haven't eaten at Pizza Hut in years. What do you think my chances are?

1% chance it works. The manager might give you some money off or something free though.

Pizza Hut here is a ghost town. I never see a car in the parking lot, but they are still open. Can't say when the last time I've heard anybody say they ordered from there.

Update: the card still worked lol. The manager had to help the person at the front because it was so old. She eventually was able to redeem it for 20 bucks.

Lol yikes. I honestly haven't got the slightest clue as to how I got.the card. I am 34 years old so this card has been with me half my life. Around when I graduated high school.

I’ve got a similarly dated gift card from See’s Candy I found in a wallet clean out recently. The closest store is about 5 miles away so I haven’t tried to redeem it yet.

No I used it up. I threw the card away. I have a Costanza wallet so im glad to get rid of it.

My dad gave us an IHOP gift card for a Christmas gift one time in 2017ish. Sat in the wifes purse for a year and a half and one day we decided to go. Racked up a $75 bill between the 5 of us. Gave them the $25 gift card and they said it didn't work and asked us when we got it. Told them a little over a year ago. They said they expire after a year. There was 0 expiration date on the card anywhere. Worst restaurant experience ever, not just because of that part but because their food is worse than any place in town and for $20 more we could have went to a nice steakhouse. Stack on the way they acted when we told them to call their manager to see if there was something they could do. They refused. Haven't been back since and never will.

Pretty sure they aren’t legally allowed to expire, unless that is a state-by-state thing.
