No, but I do wonder at what exact point will Julio and Bo Bichette go from promising wunderkinds to cautionary tales or if they can get their mojo back.

Nah the contract will keep in the game for another decade of mediocre play

I have more faith in a Julio bounce back. I don’t really know what Bo could do at this point to get back into the hobby’s good graces.

Have faith! He’s young and talented- let’s see what he does the next 2-3 seasons before waiving the surrender flag.

Agreed, as disappointing as Julio's season has been, in this era of offensive struggles his OPS is slightly above average.

Bichette has fallen off a cliff and it doesn't look like he's going to figure it out anytime soon.

Even if he does figure it out, what would a good Bo season even look like? He doesn’t steal anymore, so… 25/10 with a .325/.350/.470 slash? That’s good, but won’t set the hobby world on fire. I hope he can find a way to prove me wrong though.

I thought Bo would have a nice march to 3000 hits and he can still get back on that path. He's also still young so might not have peaked, but you are right that the lack of running limits his hobby ceiling. His upside to me is more Johnny Damon or Craig Biggio without the steals. He can still make the HOF, but now he needs the 3000 mark (a BIG ask) and even if he gets there I think he's more one of those guys the hobby forgets about until he hits 3000 and then he gets a slight bump. I also thought he'd have a clear path based on WAR but I'm not optimistic about that path any longer.

We really need people like Julio Rodriguez in the game of baseball and Bobby Witt etc. He is great with the fans and at such a young age he will have to make adjustments as data is gathered regarding his hitting and the stats on where he hits pitches well and where he does not is extensively evaluated by pitchers -I feel he will make adjustments as Vlad did as Bobby did -it is so funny a poor season (by Julio Rodriguez standards and hes written off by some really experienced people)

Julio will be just fine. I still remember when some people said Juan Soto was done after his down year (2022). Look at Juan Soto now.

For some reason, Julio picks it back up at the end of the season. He is doing it right now with an 11 game hitting streak. Hopefully next season, he can get in the swing of things a little earlier.
