Default Sothebys auction.

So just got done at the Holy Grail auction in NYC with my Brady 1/1 Immacualte card up for auction. What an experience. Meeting Tom Brady, Robert Kraft, Logan Paul, Rubin, etc. Not a bad experience.

Their site says lot sold for $480k. Is that what you got after fees or something. No clue how auctions houses work. Still awesome

Hammer was $400 and they take the buyers premium.

I always know the jealous cynical people on this forum. They are always the ones who mention paying taxes. Always.

It’s easier to say you lost it and take the tax loss, then sell it secretly for cash at a show.

Eh, people can be upset or rail on the people I met, talk about taxes, etc. Doesn’t take away from the experience. Meeting Tom and Robert was a dream come true as a Patriots fan. And the fact Tom was as approachable and down to earth as he was really made me happy. Sometimes you can meet your hero’s and you’re not disappointed.

Not a fan of Tom or Robert but glad that left you with a positive impression. Always risky meeting your idols. Sounds like an awesome time.

Is the price higher than expected? I figure the Sotehby's crowd is on an entirely diffrerent level than what we are used to seeing.

It was an interesting experience. There were cards I thought I’d have no shot at during the auction that went for half of what they we worth. I was sitting there nudging Gary Vee to bid on mine. Such an odd and awesome experience.
